Old Nurses Cottage

Over many years of international travel, we’ve stayed at many B&Bs, but none have been nicer than Old Nurses Cottage. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious, thoroughly updated, wonderfully decorated, and comfortable, and there’s even a private sitting area with a small television set. We had a full schedule of sites to see from this conveniently situated property and so set off early each morning, but we’re so glad that we took time one morning to enjoy Fiona’s sumptuous breakfast from the nook in our room overlooking the loch. Fiona’s hospitality is unmatched and includes special touches like a “wee dram” in the sitting room; coffee, tea, juice, and milk in a small fridge in the room; and binoculars on the sill in the nook to focus in greater detail on sheep and cattle in the meadow, water fowl on the loch, or the distant peak if the Old Man of Storr. We also enjoyed our conversations with Fiona, who is always available for recommendations, directions, or just a friendly chat. What a splendid stay we had!

Property was amazing! Lovely quiet area overlooking water and mountains. Inside you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Especially liked the sitting area for winding down with a glass of wine, tea or whiskey after a long day out. Fiona is so sweet and met us upon arrival to show us around and help with anything needed. They are right down stairs if you need anything!! I highly recommend these accommodations.

Nothing not to like! You are not in walking distance to anything, which is what we prefer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Nurses Cottage and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Skye. The view from our room was unbeatable, our host was very friendly, and the property had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
