We absolutely loved our stay at The Old Post Office. It was a highlight of our 5 week, 6 country trip. The bed?! One of the comfiest I've ever slept in. The rest of the house was absolutely adorable and fitted out with travellers in mind. You can tell the host has thought about what realistic cooking, cleaning, and day-to-day life looks like (it was particularly clear to us as we'd just come from a place that gave us 2 plates, 2 forks, 2 knives etc etc); and we were able to cook several meals with ease. We enjoyed spending time together on the couch, eating dinner with the fire going, and soaking up everything Skye has to offer. It was in a great location, further out from Portree than perhaps some would like - but we didn't have any intention to spend much time in Portree, so it was a great spot for us to start our adventures each day! 10/10 would stay again. I had to buy a miniature house that looked like the Old Post Office to take home as a souvenir (Scottish Design Exchange in Edinburgh).

Even though it was early Spring when we arrived, it would have been cute to be able to have dinner or lunch outside. A small table and chairs out the back would have topped off a perfect stay!

Brilliant location in a nice quiet hamlet. Pitch black at night so on a cloudless night I would think you would have great view of the stars

No tea towel so all the dishes etc had to be washed in the dishwasher. A tea towel would have enabled us to do small washups by hand. It would have been useful if some information had been provided regarding the nearest shop, pub/bar/restaurant and perhaps bus time tables

Maison vraiment magnifique, confortable et bien aménagée. Nous avons passé 4 jours merveilleux. Mention spéciale pour le poêle à bois!
