Torre Tolomei Trastevere

The property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay in Rome. Christian was so helpful and very responsive. A perfect spot just far enough away from the crowds and a stones throw away from all of the sites! We would have no hesitation staying here again!

Location — within easy walking distance of classic attractions, flea markets, an abundance of beautiful little restaurants, the Tiber River, and set amongst historic alleyways — was exceptional. Great shower! Responsive host. Good soundproofing. Nice view onto street.

The narrow staircase to our first floor room could be a problem for some. Tea and coffee making was in a downstairs kitchen.

It is not a bed and breakfast. Repeat: it is not a bed and breakfast. There is a Nespresso machine for communal use, but the host provides pods for a Lavazza machine 🤪 The stairs are tiny. It is impossible to get a heavy checked bag up, or more importantly, down, the stairs. You have to leave the bags in the downstairs communal area and hope for the best. It’s a tiny space, but they did a great job with it. It would not work as an apartment to live in, so it is not taking away housing from Romans, but it works great as a room for a night or two. The water pressure is exceptional for anywhere in the world, but especially the heart of Rome! The WiFi is good. The AC is great. The staff is very nice and professional.
