The Hadrianus temple suites are in a fabulous location, we walked everywhere! The property is within a 3 minute walk to the trevi fountain and the pantheon and there is a lovely cafe for breakfast at the end of the street. The staff, Barbara and Michele were both fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for you. Very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and we were given clean towels everyday.

The location is the biggest advantage of this hotel. It is centrally located and within walking distance of many of Rome’s major attractions, yet it was surprisingly quiet at night, allowing us to sleep well. The beds were comfortable, and both the check in and check out process were smooth. Communication from the hotel before our arrival was excellent. They provided clear information in advance, which made planning our stay much easier.
One drawback was the lack of an obvious reception area. During our stay we never saw a staff member on site, so it felt more like an apartment rental than a traditional hotel. The biggest issue was the elevator. It worked when we arrived, but stopped working the following afternoon and was still out of service when we checked out. Carrying our luggage down three flights of stairs was difficult and disappointing, especially since the issue was not resolved before our departure.

Barbara is wonderful! She's a very organized and welcoming host. She did an excellent job staying in touch with us up to our arrival date and the instructions she provided to access the property were spot on. She also gave detailed instructions pertaining to our departure. The location is centralized. It's within very close proximity to the Trevi Fountains, Colaseum, shopping, restaurants, taxi/bus stand, tour companies, etc. Our room was newly remodeled and comfortable but certainly not spacious, which is typical of hotels in major European cities. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern, AC kept the room cool (even in the midst of a heat wave). The room was clean but not immaculate; I'd score it an 8/10. Room service came every day and did a good job of replenishing towels and such. They even chaged our bedsheets in the midst of our 6 day stay, which was a pleasant surprise. The room doesnt have tissue boxes, which is unusual for a tourist from the States. There was coffee machine, television, ironing equipment, and a blow dryer in the room.
This is not your typical hotel. If you're looking for a hotel with a bell desk, concierge desk, 24 hour room/guest service, this hotel is not for you. This hotel is like living in a studio apartment with a common kitchen area and room service. It's on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, it's not a stand alone hotel like a Marriott. It's not necessarily "bad" but it's not a typical hotel and I don't know that the description on the Booking.com page does a good job of explaining it. "Suite" for travelers from the US typically means it's a bedroom with a living room area. The naming convention of the word "suites" for this hotel is misleading for Americans because our room did not include a living area. I reviewed the room description on Booking.com post our arrival and later realized to get a room with a livingroom, I should have booked a room with 2 beds, which is standard bed in a room and a pullout that's in a couch in the livingroom. I assumed all rooms were suites because of the naming convention but that's not the case. There was the noise from the restaurants on the first floor, rowdy tourists yelling and screaming throughout the night, and street sweeping machines in the very early morning hours. But we expected all those things because the hotel is so centrally located. The windows are not doublepaned but windows in older European hotels rarely are. What we didn't expect was noise from what sounded like barrels of glass crashing and being shoveled in the very early hours of the morning at like 4am. It seems there's some sort of a bottle glass recycling plant I'm guessing becauseit happeed every morning) just next to the building and the noise echoed through the hotel's courtyard and into our room. I can't imagine the other rooms being immune from it. Disposable earplugs were provided in the bathroom.
