Very nice Hostel! Friendly staff and we where nicely welcomed. Meets expectations and breakfast was super.

A tip: we had a small 'pod' of bunk beds in a larger room. It felt a bit cramped because there was no window in that larger room.

Liked the vibe of the place and location is best. Everything at walkable distance.

The initial experience where our prebooked private pod was alloted to someone else but the mistake was rectified on hotel's part by giving room in their different property.

Good location, a general lack of basic amenities, expensive for no reason, wouldn’t recommend

The property was in a good location next to the city centre and the train station.

We paid 210€ for two nights in a hostel with a private sort of “room” that it didn’t even have a bed inside but only a mattress on the floor. You have to put yourself your own bed shits. The towels are being charged even tho we had to pay so much money. The entire floor that we were staying ( approximately 5-7 ROOMS ) share only ONE WC.

Challanging

Location and stuff

There is no elevator in the building. We had two 20kg suitcases and our backpacks. Luckily, a staff member helped us. I want to thank him again. Without him, we wouldn't have made it because carrying such heavy loads up three floors on those narrow stairs would have been impossible. Unfortunately, when leaving, we had to carry them down ourselves as there was no one to help, and it was extremely difficult. Also, the capsule rooms didn't feel clean at all. The bed was directly on the floor. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the hostel feels like a maze and the narrow spaces are a disaster. If you have another option for the same price, I don't recommend this place.

Budget pod hotel close to the station

The pods themselves are quite nice and the light switches and the power outlets are well places. I also found the mattress comfortable. I think that the pods give you a sufficient feeling of security and privacy for a hostel. The location is very good as well, only a two minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was okay and had some vegan options as well.

I think that a lot of the information is a bit unclear in the booking process. Shortly before arriving, I was suddenly worried that I had booked a shared pod (because the large pods are not explicitly labeled as "private"). It would be great if it would be made explicit in the booking confirmation (because the website of the hostel also does not provide a lot of clarity). The pods are not soundproof, which is to be expected. But it is quite annoying that the ventilation/heating system in the building is a bit loud. When you grab the linen for your bed (you have to put it on yourself) it would be great if it were labeled with the size (double or single blanket).

Woke up often throughout the night

The room was clean when we arrived. Staff was very nice.

Our room (42) was right next to an access door that was opened very often. You could hear it open and close every time the door was opened. We were woken up often, even though the room was described as soundproof. It was not possible to open a window. The mattress was quite hard. We did not get a floor towel and could not close the shower so the whole bathroom/room were wet after showering.

The room, there was no space between beds, no place to hang your coat or towels and if you had lower bed, you had not a side table or lighting.

During my stay i had a few unusual questions/requests for the staff and i was always helped, this really exceeded my expectations. In general, i quickly felt at home there!

Great Base for Exploring the City

This hostel has a really nice atmosphere, complemented by a pleasant outside area that's perfect for relaxing. I found the pod itself to be both cute and comfortable. The location is a major plus, situated right next to the train station and a large parking lot, while still being an easy walk to the city center. The breakfast offered was simple but good, healthy, and satisfying.

On the downside, the pod was not soundproof at all, so we could clearly hear everything happening outside in the hallway. Furthermore, the bathroom and shower facilities were a bit smelly, which seemed to be due to the lack of ventilation in the closed environment. A small but noticeable inconvenience was the absence of serviettes at breakfast, which would have been useful for cleaning up and placing cutlery on.

Great location, most staff were helpful and friendly. Common areas bright, modern and comfortable plus the outdoor courtyard was wonderful.

The pods are pretty small with very little luggage space. The shared kitchen had very minimal facilities. The common bathrooms were often out of paper

Nice spot, but have a more secure spot for bikes

Convenient

As the hotel promotes itself as a hotspot for bikepackers I would expect a decent and secure parking space for bicycles. The separate room for bikes was not closed off, everybody could just walk in and take your precious bike. As there was not enough space you couldn't attach the lock to something fixed so anyone could just take your bike with the lock on it.

Clean nice location but not close to our expectations

Good location, very clean. Staff was nice and friendly. Everything looked quite new and painted. Close to city center and Maastricht station.

Pictures are not showing realistic how the location is. Beds are very basic and this is more a hostel style hotel for young people. I booked with the wrong expectations and expensive for a room whithout toilet and shower in the room

Almost good

The beds are separated nicely and feel private - and they have a large bedside table inbuilt which is very helpful, especially for the upper beds. Plug sockets work well and several chairs are provided as well. Most importantly, there is a large locker for each bed. The staff is amazing, although the place seems a bit short-staffed.

The AC was on and we could not turn it off, so sleeping was quite uncomfortable (although this is a subjective matter). The toilet is a bit small and always quite messy. The showers are placed in a spacious bathroom but have very little space themselves and no hangers for clothes or towels. The door to each shower space is frosted - you choose whether that's good or bad...

It’s a small thing but it’s annoying the toilets were not inside the dormitory rooms as if you needed the toilet in the night you had to remember to take your key card. Also the fire escape sign kept the dormitory room too bright at my end

Nice city hostel with mostly pods and private rooms near Maastricht train/bus station

I've been a few times in this hostel and it's a nice location and usually a good price. Bow I stayed during a bank holiday weekend and there were many events in the city so it was a bit more than I'm used too. But they gave me a free upgrade to a private pod in a shared area of the hostel.

Toilets weren't super clean all the time and the bins were overfull. But the hostel was fully booked, so many people used the facilities.

Amazing location, great quality for the price, love the idea of the pods.

The challenge with the pods is the noise. Even though it is not a traditional open hostel room, you still have 10-20 people in the same room and the constant door opening and shutting all night made it hard to sleep.

The location is great, the beds are big enough and the place was clean.

The breakfast is too limited in options. Bedsheets have to be on the bed by the guest, which would be fine for a cheaper price). The bath towels are given for an extra charge, it should be part of the standard service.

The interior looks beautiful. Nice garden in the middle. The idea of the hostel is good.

All the rest: watch out, the dorm is with 18 BEDS! I was surprised to see that, so I asked for another dorm but this is the only dorm they have. That was not specified when booking the dorm on booking! I felt mislead. Also, because you are with so many people in one room, you are constantly waken up, even when wearing earplugs. You hear the door open and close every 5 minutes (until 12AM) and there is always someone snoring. From 6AM on, peoples alarms go off. So prepare for nights without sleep. It was not possible to shut down the light in the dorm yourself. It was automatically. So if you want an early sleep: not possible. The sinks were clogged. The showers and toilets didn’t look clean. No soap for washing hands, empty shower gel, no toilet paper, no towels (booking said there were towels as well). Noisy interior: it echoes in the room, so when somebody is touching the lockers you can hear it very loudly.

Very good

The staff is really nice. I never saw a hostel which is so clean and good organized. The rooms are comfy and the highlight is the spa area. Breakfast was very delicious and it takes just 5-10 minutes by feet to get to the oldtown. We are coming back. Thank you!

Nice location, quite expensive, had some issues with cleanliness

The location is nice and the beds are good. The entrance / restaurant area are charming. The management pays attention to customer happiness, and pro-actively reacts on reviews.

When we arrived, the bathroom was not clean. We notified the staff who promised to follow-up, but did not, which was disappointing. However, after our stay, management contacted us (after reading our review) with apologies and offered a free visit or money refund, so that's definitely a plus for customer service and handling feedback. Hopefully it was an incidental situation which they managed to solve afterwards. The room was very basic, which is ok but not for this price point. 70-80 euros should be the price for a small basic room like this, not 150. We did not expect a luxurious hotel, since it is a hostel, but this should be reflected in the price.

Overpriced, congested tiny rooms and dirty.

I liked only the location.

Poor service. Rooms were not cleaned properly. Dust and dirt everywhere on the floor, hair on bed. Rooms are too small and 4 bunk beds were squeezed in that tiny room. No space to walk in the room properly and if you are not careful enough you will end up bumping your head here and there. Extremely overpriced, we paid 150EUR for one night for just one room and shared toilet.

the shared spaces such as the bathrooms were new and in excellent shape for being used by so many people. Overall great design and ambient. If it wasn’t for the snoring in the shared bedrooms the stay would have been excellent. I even enjoyed the bunk bed after getting used to climbing ☺️
