Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, staff were amazing and everything about the hotel was brilliant

Another stay and even better than the last one. Amazing to be quite honest.

Great location, only a walk away from all what is nice to visit. From a logistical point of view (app 300metres from trainstation, app 300metres from st Servaasbrug), friendly and service-oriented staff in terms of checking you in, storing luggage, etc. nice breakfast at the facility Pain Quotidien (in house possibility to move from hotel to breakfast location), modern facility, no complaints other than that my co-workers had a significantly bigger room, still mine was ok.

Comfort: you could choose out of 4 pillows, but amazing fact, they were all extremely hard. Thought it was my experience, but my coworkers had the same experience. Good attempt, but room for improvement. Also, thin walls, bit noisy.

we got a new room after complaining (see the other negative part), that one was a proper size for 2 people, it had a small desk , 2 chairs, fridge and a very big bed (two beds pieced together). staff was very friendly and immediately re-roomed us after our complaint, also we had a weird 70 EUR bill for breakfast on check-out that was instantly taken care of without argument since we didn´t breakfast. the location is very good, 5 min maximum away from the train station. to the city on the other side of the river it takes around 15 min - 20 min by foot. nearby are a lot of cafés, food places though.

our first room (we booked Comfort Windowless Room with 1 Double Bed, but we probably got upgraded to windowed) faced the main street. at evening and even till late night there were people screaming and very loudly talking right outside while walking by or sitting somewhere - especially since it is near the station. the windows were closed, but are not soundproof at all. woke up a few times from that. room itself was very tiny, not a lot of space to turn for 2 people. the basin for washing your hands would be outside of the bath in the middle of the entry. even though there was a lot of storage space (shelves/cabinet) it felt cramped. after not sleeping properly the first night we asked for a room change and got changed to the mentioned room above (bigger, silent due to facing the inner courtyard. there was no real bar and only a "living room styled" lounge. unluckily the coffee machine in the second room was broken. second room we also heard neighbours extremely loudly, as they walked in the middle of the night loudly talking in the hallways. Also every time a door was closed - also in their neighbour-room (e.g. the toilet door) - it was very audible.
