The staff were so extremely helpful and kind! They had upgraded our room before arrival without extra payment or anything which was such a great surprise. They had also prepared some complimentary snacks for us and a drink voucher to use in their gorgeous lounge. We had to leave early (for reasons unrelated to the hotel stay — again, it was amazing) and the staff were so accommodating and apologetic and even gave us a full refund for the last night. Great hospitality, complimentary snacks and an amazing room!

Location of the hotel is great. Breakfast is decent.
The room was small in the attic, price I think it was too high for it.

All staff are very kind and customer oriented. Breakfast is great. Location is amazing.
Interior is a bit confusing, it’s like they have renovated or re-furbished some of the parts to make it more unique but the rest is very old and doesn’t match the vibe they are going for.

Close to the Train station and clean. Bed was very comfortable and room was nice and dark for good sleep. Room was quiet.
There was no place with proper light. Also not even in front of the mirror in the bathroom. No breakfast and it was pricey. The coffee machine was problematic. I always struggle with nespresso machines. The tea made up for the lack of coffee.

Nice location and friendly staff at check in
Not at all a boutique hotel… large set-up, very dated furniture, two separate beds when booked a double bed, breakfast awful food (kitchen served better but only for restaurant clients, asked for better food even offered to pay additionally but brutally denied), crowded and unfriendly staff. Woke up from voice from workers at the roof at 8am…

Close to the train station, really easy to get anywhere by walking. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Room was very nicely decorated, a change from the usual boring neutral rooms

The property is overpriced for what it offers and did not meet my expectations.

1. Customer Service - I made a mistake with my dates. I booked for 3 nights, but it should be only 2 nights. That's the challenge of booking too many hotels (13 or more) with different time zones across 3 continents this Summer! Upon arrival, I requested if I could cancel one night and swap for breakfasts instead. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and agreed with my request. I truly appreciate that. On my second day, they were also okay to have my son join me for breakfast (I paid extra for his breakfast). That was very nice of them. Otherwise, I would have to eat out with my son and miss my breakfast in the hotel. Btw. My son wasn't staying with me at the hotel. He checked into his dorm.
2. Front desk personnel-They were friendly, courteous, and professional. They speak English very well. They made me feel welcome.
3. Room-It was clean and in a quiet location as I requested. It was also well-lit. It was a pleasant surprise too that there were some welcoming snacks waiting for me on the table. Although I had some issues with the water flow in the shower. The staff sent someone to fix it. I wasn't around but the person did a good job.
4. Fitness Center - one of the criteria of my hotel search is that I prefer a hotel with a fitness center. I am glad this is one of them. It is cleaned. Towels were in the room, although it didn't have a sanitizing spray to spray down the equipment.
1. Housekeeping-I am not sure if it was because of miscommunication. On my way out of the room, I saw some housekeepers walking passed me. I pointed to my room, with a smile, and said 'Housekeeping ok'. They smiled back. I thought they knew my message. However, upon my return at night, I realized that the room wasn't cleaned. It's not a big deal, as I stayed for only 2 nights. If I am not mistaken, I usually would put the sign up at the door when I wanted the room to be cleaned. The sign wasn't there when I returned. So, I didn't know how our communication fell through the crack in the first place.
2. Breakfast-It is quite sad that the breakfast is not up to my level of satisfaction. When I checked in for my breakfast on the first day, the hostess confirmed my name was on the list. That was good. I saw that there were two sitting areas, one belonging to a restaurant run by the same hotel, I think. As I wasn't sure, and she didn't explain to me where I could sit, I then asked her what the difference was between the two sitting areas. That's when she explained to me that the sitting area behind her is for hotel guests dining, and the area next to her left (my right, but it's on the same floor and connected), it's for restaurant dining. She asked if I wanted to go restaurant for dining, and it's not part of the hotel's breakfast dining. I was taken aback by her question, as my name was on the 'breakfast guest list' anyway. Next, apparently, it's the same chefs and waiters who prepared for the hotel guests and the restaurant orders. So you can imagine how busy they were. It's a breakfast buffet, but the food on the stations was not replenished timely. Some didn't even replenish for over 15 minutes. There weren't many choices as well. Hence, I had to say, the breakfast buffet was just sup-par.

Reception staff was going over the top in service from reception/check in to departure. Thats the front face you want!
On many places you see that the hotel needs a bit of refubrishing, but its not disturbing.

Great location. Wonderful staff. Clean property and rooms.
Bed was not comfortable. Outlets were not handy for charging devices. No face clothes. No shelving in shower.

Location, spacious, comfortable bed and pillows
Strange room layout, no door in bathroom/toilet room, floor is covered wavy near the bathtub (in the middle of the room) because of all the water splashing onto it, ugly interior design, toiletries are low quality, the soap+shampoo+shower gel goo bottle was empty in the shower, dusty.

Very nice hotel with a really good bed, a quiet room, and a super location. A large breakfast restaurant on the lobby floor, which we didn’t use. Overall, a wonderful find!
Would have preferred better lighting around the room as everything was finished in dark colors. Otherwise a funky layout.

Location was key. In between the train station and the old city center. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options to choose from.
Given the high ratings and the amount being paid, I was expecting a bit more from the room and the hotel as a whole. Nothin specific, but it can be just the nights rate in the city.

We were in Maastricht for a André Rieu Concert. The hotel was perfect for this. The Reception Staff were amazing and so helpful, far above expectation and very cheerful.

Location of the hotel was excellent and very close to the car park that we used. We also found the staff excellent. They were so welcoming, relaxed and helpful. I needed a magnifying mirror and they sorted this for me right away.
Our initial room didn't have power, however a wonderful member of staff swiftly sorted this by moving us to another room

Very good breakfast, variety of products of good quality.
Well located, just next to Maastricht train station.
The price is overrated. My room had no window/natural light.
