Wonderful place, lovely hosts

We spent a lovely week in this cottage over the New Year celebrations and it was great! The house is beautifully kept—spotlessly clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Internet connection is good. Superb bed linens and towels (way above expectations). The road access is excellent with plenty of parking space, which made arrivals and departures hassle-free. The hosts, who live next door, were incredibly warm and welcoming. The surrounding area offers lots of great places to explore, and the hot tub was an absolute highlight- perfect for relaxing in the winter evenings! We’d highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Nothing to worry but, but the following would be valubale to improve * Wi-fi password is way too complex, I was struggling a bit to put it into multiple device we have. Ideally switch to easy password and from extender to mash network. Although I repeat connection overall was good, much better than in other similar places we stayed. * Non-stick frying pans due to be replaced.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely location with excellent hosts.

The location is stunning, right by the estuary. The property has everything you need and is maintained and set up to a very high standard. Veronica and Alan, the owners, were very attentive and welcoming and nothing was too much bother. A lovely stay in a beautiful area.

Quiet location for work and play.

Views from the well equipped and clean cottage were lovely and there was plenty of wildlife, including hares and a hunting barn owl, to enjoy. Short flat walk to the coastal path.

Having to pay a £200 security bond before arriving at the cottage (which was returned the day after our stay since we left the cottage as we found it) All the house rules in the letter from the owners pre-arrival and notes found throughout the property. Booking.com did not make it clear that the hot tub in the pictures was at extra cost (£100 for 3 night stay).

The property is in a stunning location overlooking fields and the sea. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and homely. We received a lovely welcome from Veronica on arrival, and tips on places to visit in the area. We did not use the hot tub due to our busy schedule, but it looked inviting and in a great location. If the weather was better, and we weren’t so busy, we would have spent a few hours each day in the hot tub.

Absolutely amazing, a real treasure of a place to stay

The property was spacious, exceptionally well clean and inviting. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub was great. The property is located in beautiful surroundings, wonderfully peaceful and serene. The owners of Bank House were amazing, couldn’t ask for better hosts, they were warm and welcoming and made you feel at home as soon as you arrived, so much so that we have already booked our return trip in January.

There was nothing at all that we didn’t like about the property.

Bank House is a beautifully built and well maintained property. Really quiet, peaceful and scenic location. Hosts Veronica and Alan could not have been nicer. Would definitely recommend for a quiet break away.

September Weekend Holiday

Hosts were so accommodating and friendly and the cottage was immaculate. Had the lovely surprise of being able to pet and feed the horses right outside the cottage and the views from the hot tub were just stunning. The beach is a short walk away and the quality of the food you can takeaway from the local pub/restaurant was great.

We received a lovely welcome from Veronica and Alan, and they explained how they have changed the way they operate due to the pandemic, and what we needed to be aware of to comply. The cottage has an excellent well equipped kitchen with an American style fridge freezer and a rangemaster cooker, all relatively new. It was exceptionally clean throughout. We were provided with plenty of information regarding the local area and crucially where to get the best ice cream! We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. We hope to return in the near future.

Fabulous cottage with fab hosts

Wow what a lovely relaxing time my family and I had here. Beautiful cottage in lovely settings. As soon as we got here it felt like home. We will definitely be back for longer next time. The hot tub is a great addition. The couple that own the cottage were so friendly and helpful and gave us lots of advice on places to visit nearby. Only left this morning and I miss it already!
