Lovely stay at Bowie's Lodge

We loved our stay at Bowie's Lodge. Tony, the owner, and Bowie, his wonderful Siberian husky, were very welcoming and friendly hosts. We had a comfortable bed, the shower was nice and hot and the view from our room was fabulous. It's was a nice surprise to be offered a continental breakfast, which even included soya milk and vegan spread if required. Will definitely return next time we're in Blackool.

Quiet, clean & friendly host.

Location was good as not too far out.

Would have liked a bigger tv. It was on the wall so a bit far for size.

Blackpool should be knocked down and rebuilt it's an absolute disgrace.

The location was good and it was about 15/20 minutes walk to the Blackpool Tower and there was ample parking in the area.

We booked a small double room and yes that's what we got it was very small with not much room to walk around. Noise from the main road with trams passing and cars passing bye. We left our clothes in our hand luggage cases as there was no wardrobe just a small rail and two small shelves to lay clothes out which was facing the bay window. All in all we found the room very cramped and not suitable for our needs or the price we paid and because of this we only stayed 2 nights instead of the 3 nights we had paid for. Its been a few years since we have been to Blackpool and after seeing it now it is so run down with hotels boarded up shops closed up and as for litter the place is a disgrace mountains of it just laying all over the place along the sea front and along the seafront there are more hotels B&Bs and shops closed than ones open. Blackpool is a complete mess.

Bowie’s Lodge is perfect for your Furry 🐾 companion to stay in Blackpool,super friendly Tom wow what can I say your a star,your Hotels in a super spot,a stones throw from the beach,5 minute walk to the tram and bus stop and 10 minute walk to the Town centre,there’s ample parking nearby to boot…What more do you need….

That we had to leave,but rest assured we will all be back very soon…

A perfect break away

Tony was a superb host, lovely hotel & was a home away from home. Beautiful seafront room with a comfy bed & lovely hot shower.

Tony the manager was very friendly he carried our bags up to our room anything we needed we only had to ask for if you have a pooch this the place to come too his dog bowie is lovely easy access to the beach ,bus ,trams , within walking distance to the tower north ,south pier , bars shops take/ways most of the venues allow you to take your dog in

yellow lines all round the area ,traffic wardens are out checking cars and if you do find a free parking space you are only allowed 90mins in the day but free after 5 pm but there snapped up quick

Quiet and relaxing

Great host, flexible check-in, and perfect location.

I felt a little uncomfortable with checking out. Just leaving the key in the door caused me anxiety. Maybe a drop box on the way out might work better

Not what I expected for £65 a night

The location..

Carpets were dirty.. dust everywhere.. bed wasn't comfortable.. loud noises from others staying in the next room, walls are paper thin, and also from outside.. the windows don't keep the noises out. Felt cold through night. Sorry for the bad review but from what I seen online to what I saw in person was 2 total different things.

Absolutely brilliant

What can we say?? Tony is an absolute gem we got to our room greeted by Tony.. he is such a lovely man.. we asked for the heating to be put on after our first night was freezing.. he messaged us to say of course he would but our radiator was turned off unbeknown to us 🙈 he came to our room and told us we could use the room next door as it was warm and allowed us to use both rooms so we didn’t have to move our stuff.: very accommodating.. everything lovely and clean we will definitely stay with Tony again xx

Great atmosphere and extremely friendly and welcoming host

I really enjoyed how welcoming the host was and how friendly and warm the property felt during my stay.

Only a small tiny issue regarding the temperature of the room during the night as it got quite cold. The bed pillows felt flat but overall this was also just a small issue.

Comfy dog-friendly hotel at the Blackpool seafront.

perfectly located on the seafront and a 10 minutes walk from the blackpool northern train station. bowies lodge ist just at the end of the amusement area - so you can either enjoy some quiet and head up north the coast or go to the other direction and reach within a few minutes the lively amusement area of blackpool. the owner, tony, is super friendly and always happy to help you with anything. you can reach him any time via phone, once you checked in. dogs are very welcome. bed and duvet super comfy. had a very nice seaview.

central to blackpool right near the dog friendly beach area which was very handy bearing in mind it’s a dog friendly hotel. Tony was a great host and very friendly and accommodating,

a great addition would be an outdoor tap to clean the dogs if needed? blackpool beach gives dogs and kids black feet!!

Excellent host!, fab location , great break away.

Tony was an amazing host, nothing was to much. I was very pleased with our stay.The location and fact I could take my dog with us was fantastic. I recommend Bowies Lodge.

My only feedback would be the shower was very small and water cold in the mornings, but I know there are plans to refurb the bathroom.

Tony is a really nice guy and it is the best guest house ever for catering for pets. The bathroom is very spacious.
