Think twice before renting it. Try one night first.

They provide breakfast, it's close to the port, and the owner is very friendly and accommodating.

My room was 103. The smell inside was awful. The Aircon cannot be adjusted and blows right into your face. The breakfast is very simple: you may choose only fried food (eggs or pancakes). There is no table inside. Only one old wardrobe. The mattress was also old.

We had the most amazing time staying at Santhi Guna Bungalow – from the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. The place itself is immaculately clean, so fresh and peaceful – the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at ease. Tucked away in such a quiet, serene location, it was the perfect escape to truly unwind and soak up the beauty of Nusa Penida. What made our stay even more special was the incredible warmth and kindness of the owners and staff – especially Kadek. Kadek was an absolute gem – so friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely. He went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and stress-free, helping us organise excursions and even arranging our tickets to Nusa Lembongan without any hassle. Such a thoughtful and caring person – we felt so well looked after ❤️ We honestly can’t thank you enough for such a beautiful experience. Amazing time in Nusa Penida

The owner is awesome and very welcoming! He helped us with tips and everything we needed! The bungalow is close to the port we arrived just 10min walking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable too. Highly recommended!!

The best island bungalow!

We had the best stay at santhi guna bungalow! Perfect location central to everything and not too far when walking from the boat with luggage. The scooter rental was a perfect way to explore the island! The best family owned business with super helpful hosts! Kadek suggested the best spots for us to go on the island which was awesome! He even organized our day to go diving with manta rays with a tour group, which was perfect. This was the cleanest room we’ve had in indonesia so far. We will be back here next time we’re in Nusa P! Thank you for having us🙏🏼🌏💙

Amazing service and extremely comfortable stay in Nusa Penida

Really friendly and helpful host, he helped to organise a snorkelling trip, motorbike and the ferry off Nusa Penida. The room itself was spacious and modern. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was huge and the hot water was working. It was nice to sit out on the patio in the evening. The bed was the comfiest I’ve had the entire trip. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area. Very good for the price.

Bad service

Clean,hot shower and you can rent a scooter there(if you don't care about it's old...)

There's a rough road to get there(if you use a scooter) and so dark at night(if you walk) And I saw the review that the owner was very friendly and helpful,but actually Not...When I checked in,he texted me on WhatsApp that he wouldn't be there,so I just entered the room by the key which was on the doorknob. And I asked some questions but he just answered "Ok,mis" I stayed there for 5nights but I saw him finally in person when I checked out after the another staff(his family)called him because he was the only person who can speak English. So basically he didn't give me any tips about traveling in the island. I was a solo traveller,so local tips is very important to me.I'm not sure why the review was so nice about the owner😅 The bungalow was nice to stay but upset about the service.

Large room, good location.

It is very dirty in places, for example, a rag in the bathroom. The air conditioner does not cool down. There are no mosquito control measures. The mosque has been audible since 3 a.m. and it is impossible to sleep.

Location was good, near many restaurants and the port. Lot of green around. Bedroom was big.

Kadek (one of the owners) was very friendly, spoke very good english and helped us to make bookings for snorkeling, day trip to the beaches and for the ferry. Rooms are spacious and comes with proper airconditioning. Walkable distance from harbour and street with cute cafes and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

Exceptional

We had a very pleasant stay due to our host Kadek. The bungalow is really close to the harbour and to all the restaurants. Also the bungalow is big and clean. If you want to rent a scooter or do a trip around the island Kadek organizes everything for you. He is always available for any issue you have. He even helped us when we had problems with our speed boat tickets and we could stay one more night as we had planned. We can highly recommend this place! Use earplugs to overhear the chickens 😁

Good value for money option in Nusa Penida

The location is close to the ferry and you have plenty of good choices for breakfast, ATM or supermarkets nearby. The house is quite big, with air conditioning and a big bathroom. You can also rent a scooter or book snorkeling at the location which is very nice. Kadek was a very good host.

The host Kadek does a great job making sure you get the best out of your stay, offering to help with restaurant recommendation, trip organization, speed boat arrangements... Top notch support.

If you arrive at night the neighborhood can seem a bit sketchy, but once you get used to it it's totally fine.

Great stay!

The host Kadek was really great and took a lot of time to meet you and tell you about Nusa Penida. He arranged to drive me to the port and you can also rent scooters from him. The rooms are modern and the homestay is close to the main street with restaurants and a supermarket.

The Wifi is quite shaky but the internet reception (mobile internet too) on the island is not really good. The road leading to the homestay is not good to roll your suitcase. In that case arrange pickup.

Perfect place to stay. Clean, comfortable, excellent air-conditioning. But the main reason to stay there is the owner, who is very pleasant, organised for us snorkling, transport to Gili Islands and more. There is option to rent a motorbike for good price. Foremore every morning, the mother of the owner prepares delicious breakfast. They also have fruits from their own garden! That was the best coconut that we have ever to taste. I would like to recommend this place, one of the best during whole trip throw Asia.

On that day, we were stuck in Nusa Penida. Not a single boat returned to Bali in that aftrernoon due to the very bad weather. Finally my husband and I had to find an impromptu lodging place that night. Luckily we still found a place to stay, and the place was very comfortable, beautiful and cheap. The staff was very very friendly and helpful!! Thank you for the staff (a man) who helped us. I forgot to ask his name. We ran out of cellphone batteries and he found us a charger and lent it. He was also very helpful when we were looking for dinner. This bungalow is perfect for people who are looking for a place to stay that is comfortable, quiet, beautiful and cheap.

The location of the bungalow is very close to the harbour indeed, but to reach this bungalow you have to walk/drive a motorcycle (our case was by foot) that unlit though kind of coconut plantation (maybe?). But it is ok, as long as you don't have to walk through heavy storm.

I only stayed for one night, but I wished I could stay there longer! Kadek (the owner) is one of the kindest, sweetest and most helpful you can meet on this Island! I got the warmest greeting when I got there and he recommended where I could go to get some coffee and something to eat (Sunny Cafe, I think? The coffee and food was just amazing!) The bungalow was big and clean, the bed was comfy, it have shower with hot water and some chairs + a table outside with garden view. If there is anything, just text Kadek on WhatsApp and he will help you with everything you need! And btw, he's such a cool guy to have a chat with! He even gave me a ride to the harbour, for free! Thanks for having me. I'll be coming back for sure next time in Nusa Penida
