Quaint cottage in a near perfect location.

Really great location. It’s a petite little cottage, but totally suited our needs. Great being a 2 bed for the kids. Heating was excellent. Kitchen had everything we needed.

The shower was really hit and miss! Beds very springy. Struggled to find the cottage as the sign was the same colour as the building’s render. Minor issues.

Fantastic location Cottage ok for 2 people

The cottage downstairs has a very strong damp smell which is quite unpleasant No storage for clothes in the first floor bedroom apart from a few clothes rails but not everything can be hung up like underwear etc

Compact cottage, bed was too small (I’m only 5’8” tall) and the mattress was very uncomfortable.

Location was good.

Bed was uncomfortable, stairs felt unsafe. Window in front door meant it made you feel a little uncomfortable. Shower door didn’t close properly meaning a small Pool of water when getting out of the shower.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful harbour, cozy, well equipped, good communication from host and dog friendly

The open staircase, if we were there for longer than a night we would've wanted something in place to make it safer, especially if we'd gone with young children. There was also a strange smell to the accommodation which seemed more obvious when the kitchen cupboard doors were opened (maybe a leak causing a bit of damp)?

Great - everything we needed for a couple of days. Local pubs were sound with good food.

Great location if you accept the walk from the car park. Staithes doesn't have a whole lot in the way of convenience stores etc (i.e. none), so make sure you stock up with whatever you might need before you arrive. Property does have milk tea and coffee so no problem there.

Stairs were pretty steep so might be troublesome but manageable for young kids or old types like me.

Nice location but cottage smelt of damp which made it extremely uncomfortable and unhealthy to stay.

The Cottage had an awful damp smell which made the whole stay very uncomfortable , so much so we left a day early. We couldn’t cook or eat in the cottage because of the smell. The stairs were hazardous with no outer bannister. Shower very small.

Not recommended, The sofa damaged my back.

After support was really bad and no courtesy to call although I requested it. When we arrived a for sale sign was up on the property and I’m guessing that as it was an agency of some kind simply didn’t care. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I’m sorry to say as the location is amazing

The oven was quite awkward to use as was the shower cubicle. Anyone who was a little plump would of struggled to get in there and there was a bad stain on the carpet in the bedroom

Excellent location, well equipped. The phrase compact but bijou springs to mind.

We wanted a sea view, and there was: 2 tiny triangles of blue beween pitched roofs. If you ascended to the top floor. The only not-very-private outdoor space was a shared path, and rather scruffy.

Enjoyable stay en route to Lake District but extra charges extortionate

Location

Stairs were steep and open on one side dangerous for anyone unsteady on their feet. Pouring with rain when we arrived and there were no mats inside door so we had to put kitchen towel down. The insurance/deposit. Steep for two night stay. Surely, Booking.com could have an annual insurance which would probably be no different from what we paid for 2 nights. Charges were not clear on booking confirmation which when I contacted Booking.com they agreed with but nothing done! It was unclear which car park was which at the top of the hill as arrived in darkness and ended up paying at the mosr expensive of the two car parks.

The location was excellent , 2 minutes from the beach and near all amenities .

Better communication about parking !! My husband spent over an hour trying to pay for parking, he tried 3 cards but he found unless you tick all the boxes, which is suppose to be a choice . It doesn’t accept payment . There is a camera recording time of arrival. With the difference of time of arrival and finally paying for parking we have ended with a 60 pound find as well as paying for three days parking . We will never book any property which is booked through Host and Stay . 15 emails, 250 pound insurance cover plus a further 25 pounds insurance , oh which is not refundable ……. Why ?

The location and the cottage was nice, clean, tidy comfortable

The booking procedure and paying the deposit was ridiculous. Never ever will I use this type of booking procedure and deposit method. Up to now I have had 24 emails in connection with this one night stay. Having left the property on the 18th, I may not get my deposit of £250 returned to my account. 10 days waiting for a refund on my deposit is ridiculous. GET A GRIP, and they had the audacity to charge me £10 for the pleasure of paying the deposit. Sorry, booking.com, but you have gone way down on my accommodation booking list. And by the way, no hot water in the cottage

Complicated induction hob and couldn't find the instruction manual anywhere. Perfect for 2 adults, top floor bedroom a little precarious with the stairs. Sofa looking tired.

Location was excellent, Village was lovely. Cottage was clean and neat had everything we needed.

A little better description of where the cottage was as we couldn't find it for a while as there are lots of cottages called Harbour ..... - we couldn't google it as there was no signal at the bottom of the hill. No parking so we ended up having to park at the top of the hill and walk down with all our luggage.

Lovely setting

Location was excellent. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable beds. The cottage is a good space for 2 people for a short stay.

We were OK, but the open, narrow staircase may be a challenge for others. The oven and hob are on the small side due to limited space. This is fine for small simple meals.
