About this cottage rental

Explore the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast from your base in delightful Staithes. This three-bedroom cottage was once home to a fisherman in the picture-postcard village, which is known for its cobbled streets. Sleeping five guests, it is 10.5 miles from Whitby and on the doorstep of the North York Moors. With a wood burner to fire up after bracing coastal walks, the delightful, three-storey retreat also comes with a courtyard where you can savour the sea air in the summer.

Open the front door and step inside to find original cottage features, such as beamed ceilings. Kick back and unwind in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with the wood burner roaring during the colder months. Settle on the soft seating to watch the Smart TV or discuss the adventures of the day. Prepare meals in the kitchen then gather round the table in the built-in dining space to enjoy them together. When everyone is ready to turn in for the night, head up the steep, narrow, cottage-style staircase to the upper floors. Find a lovely, double bedroom on the first floor or make your way on up to the twin or single rooms above. There is a family bathroom at the cottage, where you can choose between a long, hot soak in the tub or a refreshing rinse under the shower. Bask in the sunshine out in the courtyard on fine days. Open a bottle of wine out here on warm evenings and chat until the day draws to a close. Parking is in a long stay car park 400 metres away.

Pick up the scenic Cleveland Way in Staithes and follow it for just over 3 miles to Runswick Bay. Have a day out to the beach at Saltburn-by-the-Sea, 9 miles away, where you can swim, surf and enjoy family activities.

- 3 bedrooms including a large double with sitting area, 1 twin and 1 single

- 1 bathroom with electric shower over bath & WC

- Electric oven & hob, fridge/freezer, microwave ,dishwasher, washing machine and separate dryer- Milk,tea and coffee and other treats will be waiting for you.

- Wood burner , starter pack of logs & lighter provided

- Smart TV

- Sole use of family sized courtyard with outdoor table and chairs

- Original Stone building in the courtyard which is the utility room

- Parking Permit for Bank Top car park. The permit will be waiting for you in Kindly Light. The RHS of High Street allows guests to unload for 45 minutes. There is also an unofficial loading spot to the LHS of the slipway opposite 3 slipway

- Two local pubs and shops five minutes walk away.

- The cottage style staircase is wider than most, it also has a handrail all the way up the LHS

- 1 Dog allowed, additional charges apply
