Very relaxing, the people were lovely and the place was dog friendly
We loved the size and the fact that it was lovely and warm It was well equipped
The fact that we were not aware that there would be numerous stairs to get to the third floor where the second double bedroom was situated Also the parking was a long way from the property up a very steep hill We all had mobility problems so this was a big issue for us as there was limited shops in the area and you had to go up the steep hill past the car park to get bread A warning could have been put up about this on the booking information

Mixed bag at Salmon Cottage
Ideally placed cottage with pretty much everything you need for a break away. All in all a decent stay, we're veteran visitors to Staithes so we understand the constraints of the buildings and the quirky layouts.
Some inconsistent instructions - states no towels but they were provided and access to the back garden was tricky as the door sticks and the gate is nearly rusted shut. If you're going in June, take earplugs as the seagulls are very loud 24/7 and were nesting on the roof of Salmon Cottage which added to the 'ambience'.
