The cottage was ideally situated in the middle of staithes so this was a bonus. The outside space was a bonus and in summer would be good to sit out in.
The floors in the room had not been mopped in a long time. The kitchen was in need of attention as the fridge and cooker were dirty when we arrived.

Location
Difficult to control electric radiators. It was too when they were on and too cold if they were off.

The location was absolutely superb - on the level right in the centre of Staithes - perfect.
The cottage was spacious for the location and very comfortable.
From making the reservation through to the provision of a parking pass, etc, it just made everything so easy.
Thank you very much - we intend to come back!
Nothing.
The cottage is charming, comfortable and characterful, right in the centre of a historic fishing village. What is not to like?

The location is excellent - right by the shops, pub & a pleasant short wander through the village to the beach.
No complaints

Good value for money, clean, comfortable and central Location
Slight Smell of damp. Could have made outside area more welcoming

The location is amazing. Great value for money. Having a parking pass is a bonus.
WiFi non existent. Cleanliness was mediocre, especially the advertised outside space which needs attention. Especially the drain by the back door and the steps which are both dangerous. The bedrooms and kitchen need an upgrade, but for the price it is acceptable. Communication 100%.

Traditional Town House. Central location. Spacious.
No negatives from us ❤️

The living room area was plenty big enough for 5 adults, the double bed on the second floor is so comfy I had the best sleeps ever, the bathroom is lovely and modern .
Think like others have said, wish they’d make the outside area more appealing.
No plug sockets in the bedroom on 3rd floor and the towel heater in bathroom didn’t get warm, as was very cold on one of the days , but these small things didn’t ruin our fun .

Very comfortable and well equipped. Beds are particularly comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. The bathroom is clearly new and very lovely. It was very dog friendly, which was perfect for us. Location fabulous. Felt spacious enough for 4. We really loved Staithes.
Outside patio could do with cleaning. Even if the weather had been better, I wouldn't have wanted to use it. Kitchen could do with a couple of things - I bought an anti- bac spray as there were no products. Also we've rented lots of properties and usually there's at least a few store cupoard ingredients like a bottle of oil. The fire also needs some attention as it had a very poor ' draw', making it very difficult to light. ( We do have a stove at home, so know how to light them)
However, these are all small things that didn't affect our enjoyment of our few days.

Fire was ready to light, location, bathroom bedrooms.
Kitchen needs a declutter and a deep clean. Sink was very dirty & no tea towel. Charity shop vibes open u open the cupboards that were busting with stuff & rusty tin opener? House didn’t smell clean, cushions, throw and rug needs deep cleaning. Bedrooms bathrooms fine. But wouldn’t sit out in the garden. Furniture could do with painting likewise the twin bedroom again charity shop vibes.

Location near to all the shops restaurants etc
Meals / Restaurants. The Royal George, as we were travelling over 200 miles, I tried to book table for 5 for two nights. No they said we only take walk in's. So walked in all empty tables had reserved Table markers on? Went to Cod and Lobster. Went back to Royal George, we were a group of 5 having our last night so we had a few shorts. First round £18, second round £28, difference was a Run and coke rather than a coke. Third Round £30 same round? Questioned bar staff and they said sorry we forgot to charge for the mixers last time! Asked to see the previous tab,"sorry can't do this on our till.

well equipped and warm.
cosy and nice to offer a wood burning stove. Great location.
The property is great, but extractor fans in the bathroom and kitchen would help as condensation could then be reduced.

The location in the centre of the village and a well equipped cottage which is dog friendly
The door lock is a bit difficult to to unlock (this is mentioned in the description for the cottage) not much fun if its throwing it down with rain.

Brilliant location, good sized rooms generally a lovely cottage. Log burner made it very cosy downstairs
Heating was set too low (our fault for not contacting owners to increase it).

The "Hosts" phoned us on the morning of our arrival, while we were actually on our journey, to say the property was unavailable and they were cancelling our booking. WE HAVE STILL NOT RECIEVED A REFUND

Location was superb. Bathroom and bedrooms were very nice.
Kitchen was very cold and could have been cleaner. The fridge is not very good, being meant as an integrated fridge, not a standalone. And it could have been cleaner. It’s a pity there was no kind of welcome pack. Perhaps it’s getting tired.

Location spot on for my Dad. Close to other locations that we visited
Details of where the switch for the bathroom radiator was!

The property as a whole was cute. It had mostly everything we needed in there. Wi-Fi was a lifesaver as no signal.
Firstly, we didn’t expect to not be able to park close to the properly. Having 2 cars between 3 adults and 3 young children, and them not being close by was difficult. We literally only slept and had breakfast there due to staying there as was at a wedding in Danby.
Secondly, there was dog hairs all over all the rugs.
Thirdly, I have left with 3 bites at the bottom of my back and one on my ankle.
Fourthly, the power from the plugs were poor, not charging devices to full power over night.
Fiftly, one of the fire alarms/CM alarms kept beeping with low battery, so found which and took out battery.

Great location, lovely decor. Well equipped house.
The bathroom looks new and is very clean. However the shower is impossible to get to an acceptable temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. Perhaps get someone to look at it as it looks new.

The feel of the cottage was warm and welcoming and the location was absolutely perfect
The cooker hob was not great, very slow to cook anything much but as it was only the two of us it did not impact too much, whereas if a family were staying and needed to cook meals to save on spending it wouldn't have been easy.

Staithes is a lovely little hideaway. Anchorlea was well equipped and comfortable .Host really accommodating and communication great, tips on parking really helpful
Property was old, and even in June, felt a little cold/damp . Electric heaters helped.

Lovely little house - very nicely decorated and furnished with modern stylish bathroom and well appointed kitchen. Log burner was a bonus on a chilly evening! Ideally located for access to Staithes harbour and shops.
Heating very unpredictable - controlled by the owner on an app - guests can only choose whether the electric radiators in the property are on or off, and 'on' was sometimes red hot or sometimes cold with no apparent logic! Some road noise during the night from vehicles going over the cobbled street outside.

Great location 10 mins walk from the harbour. Superbly equipped kitchen. Plenty of storage space. Nice enclosed court yard at the back. Plenty of seating and nice dining area. Next-door to a lovely Delhi and yards away to the nearest pub. Staithes is a lovely place to explore.
Hardly anything to be unhappy about. The shower is effected by low water pressure but still Ok. Not a problem for us but the parking 10 mins walk up a very steep hill could be better explained in the listing (though it's possible to park for a short time to unload right outside)

Very clean, comfortable cottage, brilliant location
The shower was absolutely dire. Either scalding hot or freezing cold, impossible to stand under Either. For the amount we paid for the cottage, you would at least expect to be able to have a shower

Another fab stay at anchorea. Close to all amenities lovely warm and comfortable. Everything needed for a break away. We took extra fuel for the fire but on arrival we're delighted to see we had everything required to get it going for the 1st night. It was so warm we turned the radiators off. Lovely and cosy. And fabulous value for money
