We liked the village, and the local pubs

The direction to the house was very poor, no mention of the 2 flight stone stairs that lead you to the cottage in the advert on the web site . No reply when we sent emails before we left home regarding fuel and parking. We had a power cut over the weekend and the phone number we were given just rang out, no replies until Monday morning. No hot water other then the kettle, for washing hands after visiting the toilet. The photos on the web site show a lovely corner bath, what it does nt show is they is no hot water to fill it. No fuel ( coal, logs) and no advice on what to buy when asked again emails were sent by us before we left. The oil heaters within the cottage were broken and dangerous with broken plugs. A coal delivery was made on Wednesday a day before we were due to leave. Very poor information details about the cottage and local area, no information of local doctors, buses. We spoke to the contact on phone and in person how we were disappointed and upset regarding how upset we were not having hot water or power for more then 24 hours. Her words were the owner dose nt put the heating on until October ( which does nt help us in September when the weather forecast is saying extreme heavy rain and frost) she went on in saying " the only good thing is well I get paid on time." Would recommend staying in this cottage NO!!!!

the location is superb however the BOOKING HAD BEEN CANCELLED BY THE OWNER EVEN THOUGH BOOKING .COM DID NOT PASS ON THE MESSAGES AND CONTINUED TO SAY IT WAS OK. MY PAYMENT NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO ME PROMPTLT.

. I read the reviews before and thought, no, it can't be that bad but sadly it was. Not going to rant just listening the problems: No hot water, there is a fire but no coal provided Property is 4 floors with extremely steep stairs, dangerous for children and my 76yo mother who came with Directions to the property way out! Parking is not even in the vicinity, and it's expensive Internet barely works Not my level of clean No freezer, fridge falling apart To be honest if I were booking.com.i would be embarrassed to list this. I have always used them but my trust has been broken 💔

We did not stay that long we had to book into a hotel I am disabled an always do a filter but booking.com don’t seam to get that

Perfect location to get into the village easily. The house had a lot of character. Was like stepping back in time shovelling coal from the coal shed!

There was nothing we didnt like. It was perfect for a little get away. The house isnt very suitable for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs but thats just for future reference, we didnt have a problem

Location os good. Footpath to main carpark at back of house. Couple of minutes walk to beach.

Where to start....the property is dirty, in dire need of maintenance and decorating for a property that is let as a holiday home. We stayed in April, had plenty of rain and cold temperatures. The property heating system is run by the log burner/fire in the living room which requires coal or wood to heat the water and radiators. On arrival there was barely any fuel in the coal store, so we purchased some from the local shop. The following day, I rang the caretaker who said she would arrange for some more to be delivered. This never happened so we again had to purchase coal from the shop. There are 2 x small oil filled radiators in the property, which for a house on 4 floors is not adequate additional heating, especially during colder weather. The property is dirty, lots of cobwebs, poor general maintenance, microwave didn't work, broken glass cafetiere, rags stuffed in gaps in wall, daylight visible through the window frame in kitchen, broken bed frame in top bedroom. I have highlighted all of this to booking.com but had no resolution. Offer of £35 credit which just about covers the cost of fuel we had to buy. Would not stay again.
