Paolo and Carlotta's Home - large and central apartment between two nice parks

Paolo met us outside the nearby train station and walked us over to the apt. He went over everything we needed to know to have a lovely stay. He gave up a map and highlighted places for us to visit. He was very concerned for our comfort as there was a repair being made to the water line. He brought over extra bottles of water for us but we never lost water during our stay. There are 2 sets of keys, but my daughter had one set in her bag that she lost at a bus stop and host was very understating. There was a train strike planned on our departure day but host gave us options to get to our next destination. The apt is cozy, small by US standards, but it was comfortable for our family of 5. This is a 3rd floor apt so there are stairs to climb, not an issue for us but might be for some. Central location, close to train and walkable to all the main sites. Internet was very fast. All in all we are happy with our stay at this property and recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

There is a washer but no dryer.

Our family of 4 had an amazing stay in Paolo’s apartment. It was clean and spacious, and the location was perfect - close to the train station, walking distance to everything, but on a quiet street just outside the busy areas. There is a lovely bakery downstairs. Paolo was an exceptional host meeting us when we arrived, giving tips on the area and providing a thoughtful welcome basket. We will stay again on our next trip to Florence.

The apartment is very nice and cozy. It has everything that a traveler might need. The kitchen was fully equipped with plates, utensils, a teapot, coffee machine, and a selection of tea and coffee. The owner even left a thoughtful welcome package with snacks, milk, spaghetti, sauce, and a bottle of wine. Such a generous gesture that made us feel at home right away! The apartment is located in a quiet area and, at the same time, is very close to the central train station (about 10 min walk) and to all main attractions (about 20 -35 min walk). Paolo, our host, was very kind and accommodating. He gave us a lot of information about the nearby attractions, food markets, and transportation to get around the city. He also gave us a very helpful advice when is best to visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and how to avoid long waiting lines. We had a really great time in Florence and highly recommend this apartment!
