Piazza del Mercato Centrale

Don't look anywhere else if you're planning to stay in Florence! The room was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotless, practical, and thoughtfully arranged. The high ceilings made the room feel very spacious. The water pressure and hot water were both outstanding. There was even a bidet shower next to the toilet, which was very convenient for us. They had also provided a plug adapter. The location of the room was so perfect that it helped us have an incredible Florence experience. Everything was within walking distance, which made getting around extremely easy and enjoyable. Also, the natural view from the window was beautiful—we loved waking up to the sound of church bells in the morning, which made the stay even more special. The view overlooking the Duomo, Florence's magnificent cathedral, was absolutely breathtaking. Check-in and check-out were very easy and hassle-free. Most importantly, our host Luisa was always available and solved every problem we had at any hour. She is such a wonderful person that I wished she were my sister :)) She kindly allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, which was incredibly helpful. She also helped us with a major problem we experienced during our trip. We can not thank you enough! We are truly grateful for your kindness and hospitality.

There is nothing we did not like

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Piazza del Mercato Centrale — truly an excellent location. Being so central in Florence made a real difference to our trip, as we could walk everywhere easily and fully enjoy the city without any stress. The apartment itself is lovely: very clean, well stocked with everything we needed, and with beautiful high ceilings that give a great sense of space. Despite being right in such a lively and central area, it was surprisingly quiet, which made it even more comfortable. Luisa was an outstanding host — incredibly quick to respond, very helpful and efficient. Everything was smooth from start to finish, which we really appreciated. Overall, a fantastic stay — we would definitely recommend it!

Just a small note for future guests: the stairs are quite steep, so carrying luggage can be a bit challenging. It wasn’t a big issue, but something to be aware of.

The location is excellent, very close to all the attractions and restaurants.

There was too much noise every day at early hours (5 am). The principal bed was not comfortable, we were 4 people with one tiny toilet paper, the kitchen and bathroom with a bad smell. Taxes were too expensive (even if it's a government tax) and it has to be paid in cash, so it's a big amount of money with no flexibility to be paid in a different way.
