Everything seemed new and taken care of. It’s located ultra central.
It was the smell. In the living room area it was a strong unpleasant smell. Couldn’t stay there

What I liked about Borgo Guelfo VIII in Florence was its excellent location very close to the city center and main attractions. It felt really convenient because I could easily walk to places like the train station and the Duomo. The apartment was also cozy, clean, and had a nice quiet courtyard that made it feel peaceful. I appreciated that it had good facilities like WiFi and air conditioning, making the stay comfortable. Overall, it was a great mix of central location and relaxing atmosphere.
What I didn’t like about Borgo Guelfo VIII in Florence was that it felt a bit basic compared to a hotel, especially in terms of services and amenities. The check-in was quite self-service, so it didn’t feel very personal. The apartment also felt a bit small and didn’t have much natural light. At times it wasn’t as quiet as I expected depending on other guests in the building

Apartment was clean and modern. We loved the location, its close to everything, 5 min walk distance to Santa Maria Novella train station, 10 min walk to Santa Maria del Fiore, 15 min walk to Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi. But yet in calm neighborhood with a gorgeous private garden. Hosting was excellent, Selen got in touch with us before arrival so she was waiting for us at the property when we got there.
WiFi connection wasn’t working well in bedroom. Also didn’t like the lighting in bathroom, it was quite dim.

The location is excellent, the outdoor garden was a bonus (but too many midges too enjoy), lots of space in the flat and plenty of storage.
Felt a bit expensive for what you got.
