I travel a lot and have stayed in many wonderful places around the world, but this hotel captured my heart from the very first moment. If I understood correctly, this hotel is run by a woman. You can truly feel that every single detail was created not just with skill, but with her heart. It may be an ordinary house, yet it has been transformed into such a warm and welcoming place that every corner radiates comfort, thoughtfulness, and genuine care. Each room feels like its own little work of art. One of the sweetest touches was seeing my name written on the door of my room when I arrived. It made me feel truly welcome. And the view from my window completely stole my heart. The hotel also offers many thoughtful extras, including a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Another great advantage is that it’s within easy walking distance of the starting point for the hike to Reinebringen. It is now my absolute dream to return to this hotel with my son and spend at least a week here, enjoying a slow and peaceful holiday. My heartfelt thanks to the people who created this incredibly cozy and inspiring place. It is the kind of place you simply want to come back to again and again. Without a doubt, this was one of the best hotel stays of my life.

On the day we arrived, one of the staff members suggested that we join a kayaking tour the following day. We explained that we were only interested if there was a chance of seeing orcas. She replied that on the Lofoten Islands, there is always a chance. Unfortunately, that wasn’t true. We happened to visit at a time of year when the orcas had already moved into deeper waters, making such an encounter extremely unlikely. The next day, however, another receptionist—a lovely young man from Poland—was completely honest with us. He explained that the kayaking itself would be a wonderful experience because of the breathtaking scenery, but that we should not expect to see orcas. I really appreciated his honesty. It reminded me once again how important it is to be truthful. No financial gain is worth creating expectations that you already know are very unlikely to be fulfilled. That said, I don’t see this as a reflection of the hotel or its owner. Sincerity is ultimately a personal choice, and it was clear throughout the rest of our stay that this place is built with genuine care and heart.

Friendly stuff, great location

I booked the appartment mainly for the sauna, jacuzzi and also mediation class. The sauna and jacuzzi are not working due to a storm. There was no notice upfront. I wanted to do the meditation class and that day the teacher was off. The kitchen is very small and I just found one fork. The room was not good isolated. So you could hear the neighbors talking. I adressed it to the owner and go no reaction.
