Uncomplicated check-in., easy-going atmosphere inside.
They don't really answer phone, with delay respond only to messages.
No bus really, you have to walk over Fredvang bridges from Fredvang Kryss (nearest bus stop) 40-50 minutes which can be challenging during windy weather.

Sylwia and Julia are extremely friendly and helpful and very keen to help everyone.
After the many great hostels and youth hostels with friendly hosts, this one is a bitter disappointment. It is run very loveless and only the bare necessities are provided for. I strongly advise against a longer stay (if possible none at all). For the many beds there are only two toilets and two showers, there is no common room except for the too small kitchen (use from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. is prohibited) and everything is very noisy. The owner is grumpy, but rarely to be found and, unlike her staff, not at all bothered. Instead, she put up a tablet with prices for, among other things, showers (50NOK), sauna (500NOK) and use of the washing machine/dryer (100NOK).
