Pleasant one-night stay in a twin room with friend

Located in the heart of Reine, with only 5-min-walk to the bus stop "Reine" or "Reinebringen", it was very convenient to commute if you visited Lofoten without renting a car. The rooms were adorned with so much care, feeling like home. Kitchens were well-equipped, with microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerators and all types of cutlery. A bit pricey... but worthing the value. It's Reine in July, just as it is. :)

Cheap(er), but don’t expect much

This is basically a hostel - don’t book if that is not what you are after. We booked a room with twin single beds. The room was so small we could barely put our backpacks down (note these backpacks are the size that go under the seat in a plane). The communal spaces were pleasant. The welcome from staff is limited to aggressive signs saying “pretty obvious rule - clean up after yourself” in the kitchen, despite no dish rack or other common cleaning equipment and seems to extend to an expectation of taking out all the rubbish from the all the bins. Or to keep the bathroom clean dry without a bathmat. It appeared to us to be attempting to get the benefits to the host of simultaneously a hostel and an Airbnb without the corresponding responsibilities.

Home stay :)

Truth be told I booked Reine Basecamp as it was the only cheapest option and when I entered my room I was a bit upset - bed, chair and that's it. However, apart from my room I had huge living room, wonderful kitchen with all possible amenities (oven, stove, kettle, coffee machine, fridge) that I realized it was totally worth money - especially since I was there all by myself for almost two days (there was another couple staying for one night but we didn't bother each other). The place is really nice, has great location - around 5mins walk to the small center and about 15-20mins walk to the start of the climb to Reinebringen hike. Anyway, highly recommend Reine Basecamp for great atmosphere, good location and amenities provided :)

Exceptional

Something went wrong with te reservation on Bookig.com and the owners went above and beyond to find a place for me to stay. Incredibly kind and helpful people. They also helped a lot with directions to different nearby places, and they allowed me to store my things somewhere safe past checkout time due to some personal inconvenience. If you want to stay in Reine and have a good experience, definitely check this place first!

Basically a hostel

Home-like and WILL be cozy when ready. Friendly and helpful staff and good opportunities to make your own food. Central location. Comfortable bed and the place had nice bathrooms. It will be quite nice once finished.

It's basically a hostel and in the beginning of July the place was still undergoing renovation. Our room was also so small we couldn't open our two suitcases in the room at same time. So for us it seemed a bit over priced (even in Norway!) at this point. We would also like to say the walls of the room were not very sound proof. We could hear every word said in the room next to ours (plus the rustling sound coming from a candy package(?). The sounds were not loud nor worth knocking on our neighbours' door at 11 PM but just to give you an idea.

La localisation était top, les espaces communs : cuisine, salles de bain ,séjour agréables et bien équipés. Accueil sympathique, le tout propre et fonctionnel

La chambre très étroite, peu isolée (on entend la chambre voisine ronfler...), pas de rangement, petite fenêtre en hauteur, petits lits assez peu confortables entrainant un rapport qualité prix ( très cher en août!) défavorable

Uppfyllde i alla fall ändamålet - att bo nära färjeläget.

Läget är naturligtvis bra utifrån perspektivet att man vill bo nära färjeläget i Moskenes. I övrigt så var det det dyraste och minst luxuösa boendet under vår 20 dagar MC-tur.

Väldigt dåligt - i princip obefintligt - med möjlighet att förvara och hänga upp kläder på rummet. det blir kaos i rummet.
