The volunteers and guests were all so kind! I had such a great time. And the hostel is pretty new so clean and very well organized. Of course the scenery is incredible as well.

Able to socialise with guest from other countries.
The toilet is dirty when we check in.

Full disclosure - I was here in very low season and was the only guest for the majority of my stay. The hostel is lovely, and the coziness was even more welcome in the dark winter days. Everything was clean and well organised, and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are large (could do with a small shelf in the shower to put your soap/shampoo/etc on when you're in there). Location is gorgeous, the sauna and icy cold plunge were perfect, and if the aurora borealis is up and the sky is clear the view is outstanding. The staff and volunteers are super friendly. This time of year it was a perfect spot to relax and do some of the short walks close by in the limited daylight hours.
I can see that it could get crowded and noisy in peak season, but this definitely wasn't a problem for me! The bus connections in winter are not great (heads up if travelling by bus) so just be aware of that.

Very nice staff. Easy-going day-by-day
some of the bulbs in the Kamps need replacement, but other than that very cozy place

The common areas are gorgeous, the lake close by is amazing.
The kitchen was way too small, hard to move around. The house is old and you can hear all the noises. One of the showers (out of two on our floor) was broken during our stay.

The best place I ever stayed. Loved the people there, the view, everything was clean and the Bonfire was sooo nice. Perfect place to meet new people. Thanks

Amazing staff and got lucky w my roomies!
Small kitchen, only 2 people can use it simultaneously and also you have to bring your own food as there are no supermarkets anywhere close.

Friendly staff, the property is comfortable and well furnished even the shared spaces. There are books, sofas and activities, perfect to chill and hang out. There is everything someone needs, just what makes a hostel enjoyable. The hostel owner aced the interior design. I definitely recommend.
Nothing I can think of.

A very home- like feel with fun decor

The laid back athmosphere, the people working and staying there, the well equipped kitchen to use.
The checking in process: I got the information one day AFTER I had arrived via booking.Com, some helpful guests who happened to be there helped me in, the office was only open two hours in the morning

The laid back athmosphere, plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, hot showers
The instruction how to get to my room came a day late. If it hadn't been for other guests there who did help me out, I would have been stranded as the office is only open in the morning. The heating didn't always work in the bathroom

Absolutely cozy hostel with warm people.
I love the design & it was super clean, but must of all I loved the people. I will always stay here when I’m back in Lofoten!
Only minus: the mattress in our private room was super soft.

Very clean and cozy hostel close to the beautiful lake. It is a litte far away from any town but there is a bus stop right next to the hostel. There is also really nice Cafe inside the hostel. The room was clean and beds in the dormitory room have curtain which give privacy. There is also very good equipped kitchen.

We booked a 4-bed mixed dorm room. On hindsight, this was not for us. However, the room was clean, but noisier than I would have liked. No fault of the owners. The bathrooms were clean, we had to rent a towel for 650 Nok, and the common areas were very comfortable. The cafe was excellent! Great dinner.
Sharing a room for sleep, I was trying to save a few bucks.

Such a nice place on earth! Cozy, welcoming, large outdoor area with lake access, outdoor seating. Just lovely, and one can see all the love that went into many details in furniture and equipment. One can also rent outdoor equipment through their website. And there is a bus stop just in front of the hostel, with several departures a day.

The lake, the staff, the people, and how clean it was

This place has a nice spirit which is transported by many little details in and outside the rooms and also the staff. Beds are comfy, food options are good, the daily coffee flat-rate comes in very handy. There are several areas to rest, relax or work around the building inside and out. The lake is literally meters away. Thanks for this well rounded first Hostel experience of mine.

This is a cozy hostel with amazing breakfast foods offered. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty to choose from.
The weather didn't cooperate during our stay but we found outdoor activities anyway.

Great offering of outdoor activities to enhance your enjoyment and discovery of a wonderful part of the world. Delightful room with a view to the lake and surrounding area. Cosy cafe offering amazing cakes including the Millionaires cake alias for a caramel slice! Well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. Great mix of staff and guests to chat with and learn tips about walks and sights to visit.
Cafe dinner menu was a bit limited.

Lovingly decorated, with great attention to detail in every corner. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, complemented by a charming little sauna and a spacious, inviting outdoor seating area — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Conveniently located near the E10, the main bus spine, which makes it easy to hop on and off and explore the region
The hostel is set in a beautiful natural location, but unfortunately, some bedrooms face the road and parking lot, which detracts from the experience. The common kitchen is also quite small for the number of guests — during my stay (at roughly 60% occupancy), it was difficult to find space to cook or sit during peak times. Additionally, the kitchen lacks any outside view, which makes it feel a bit enclosed.

This place is great, we had nice room. Shower and WC was shared but clean. There are activities offered. There was also shared kitchen however in the morning it is possible to buy coffee and breakfast in the cafe.
There were sometimes a lot of people in the kitchen and it can get a bit messy

Good position of the hotel, the room was big and with a sink. The common toilets were clean and the showers too. I wish they could have a hairdryer in the toilet with the shower but it went ok even without it.
The common kitchen is small, 4-5 people in it and it’s difficult to move around. There are two refrigerator, two stoves for cooking and only one sink to wash the dishes. You need to hope it’s not a busy time when you want to go and cook some food!

Furu Hostel is build by a couple of travellers themselves, you can expect all the attention to hospitality as in regards to backpackers and single room guests.
I slepts for four nights in a 6 room dorm room, though the beds transcend the concept of bunk beds. They are more private sleeping cells with everything you need in it from your own light cell charger and your own shelf where to put your belongings for the night and a curtain to draw when you go sleeping. Each dorm has a locker deposit space where to leave your bag during the day.
The structure has multiple very large showers on each floor and showering here is a delight!
Furu has an excellent little restaurant, where I've had both breakfast and dinner on more than one occasion. It is a place build around cozyness sharing experiences and meeting new people, and you can do so in the large sitting room, outside by the lake or in the garden.
Finally, when i forgot to book my last night's stay, the staff found a solution and saved me from a night's sleep in the car, thank you for that!
All in all I'm very satisfied in having stayed here and I don't think there is another structure on the Lofoten islands that offers such value for money.
Maybe a better self-service kitchen for the guests, the kitchenette is too small.
Once again though, I'm very satisfied with everything I got here.

Cosy and friendly hostel with great food in the Café.
Surely great for a longer stay, because there are also possibilities for car, bike and kajak rental.

The dorm beds with curtains are very small areas.

Staff was super friendly, nice talks and gave good tipps for everything. Food extraordinary!
The house is old, so you hear a lot. But that makes everything charming

Atmosphere was great, food was good and the location had nice views from the lake.
The guest kitchen was in the basement and was not so nice to eat in. you can go upstairs to eat in the Owl room but it’s a pain carrying thing’s upstairs.
