Posto squallido e poca ospitalità

Della struttura assolutamente nulla.

Pensavamo di trovare quello che avevo letto nelle recensioni,ma per noi non è stato così! Appena arrivati il signor Domenico non mi ha neanche salutata ma mi ha detto "Signora stia lontano da me che io ODIO i cani" che ci può stare per caritá,ma per una struttura che accetta i cani forse sarebbe meglio fare buon viso a cattivo gioco. Quando abbiamo chiesto delucidazioni sulla prenotazione del nostro appartamento (orribile)su booking il signor Domenico ha cominciato a sparare a zero dicendo che booking sono dei ladri e degli schifosi e che lui non ha bisogno di loro, peccato però che gli dà visibilità e noi abbiamo conosciuto la struttura tramite loro,poco lungimirante! L' appartamento assegnato a noi,il n.3, era un seminterrato che uno scantinato sarebbe stato più rifinito e accogliente. Letto nella stessa stanza della cucina, vecchia, rovinata e fatta di parti diverse assemblate tra loro. Bagno cieco, senza areazione, senza bidet con una doccia in una reseca nel muro. Due asciugamani scompagnati, vecchi, un Malizia vuoto per metà e una saponetta poggiata sul lavandino. Dopo due giorni di utilizzo il bagno ha cominciato a puzzare di fogna tanto da dover tenere sempre la porta chiusa. La sera dovevamo fare la caccia a ragni, millepiedi e grilli che trovavamo in camera. Io non so gli altri appartamenti ma il nostro era proprio squallido,per quel prezzo assurdo! (Soldi che il signor Domenico ha voluto subito appena messo piede in appartamento, in contanti!)L' ospitalità dell' oste non la abbiamo vista, per tutta la settimana non abbiamo avuto un "buongiorno/come va? tutto bene?". Non consiglio assolutamente questo posto.

Værtsparret var utrolig hjælpsomme og imødekommende. Vi følte os straks hjemme. Nemt og godt sted at have hund med.

Apartment was fine, host not.

parking and location

When we arrived the sliverware was dirty and glasses had fingerprints, fridge worked but wasn't cold enough. The host was friendly, made a warm welcome and everything seemed fine. He then came unannounced in the apartment and started to ask if we do drugs and similar. We tried to give an impression that he was not welcome in our space. He said to try to keep the noise down during our stay, and we were very careful about that. The last day of our stay he waltzed in our living room and started shouting at us because we were "loud" the day before. I promise you we were not loud (we weren't even at the house, were on a night out). He threatened he would throw us out if we were loud again. It really made a bad mark on our stay there, really killed the mood.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Novigrad at Villa Maria. The room was beautifully clean, it was a short walk to the beach and a nice walk to the centre. We will remember most the wonderful Pastar family, the landlord and his wife took wonderful care of us and were very nice to our one year old son. We would love to come again!

Peaceful place for a great family vacation

Villa Maria was a great place for our family vacation in Croatia - we had enough space for two couples, nice bathroom and a kitchen to prepare breakfasts and cook dinners that we ate on the balcony. There is a short walk for an amazing beach with lots of trees which ensure a place to hide from the sun. The city center is also really close and you can find many shops and restaurants there. Mrs Maria is a delightful person, ready to help when you need her. I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a quiet, peaceful place near the Adriatic Sea.

The WiFi did not always work but we didn’t need it that much so it did not bother us.

After posting my review, the owner contacted me over the phone immediately and was very unpolite. I did a lapsus when typing quickly but he didn't wanted to hear anything and was so extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Totally opposite to the time when I stayed there! I wanted to go back there again, but after experiencing his reaction for my review on Booking, never.

Superb

Very nice owners, kind and always asking if we need something. The appartment for 6 people is spacious, the furniture is old but clean. We slept great, very comfortable mattresses. You can also use the washing maschine in lower permises, very useful.
