Exceptional and close to the center / Enjoy Salzburg in a quiet location

This is a spacious two bed apartment which was perfect for the three of us. It is about a 30 min walk from the main attractions, but also very close to several bus routes which take you to the centre, the airport or out to Untersburg. The owner was very responsive and we would recommend this apartment.

This home was wonderful! It was incredibly clean and had all the amenities we needed! Alfons and Marianne were very nice and easy to communicate with. We had a bit of an address issue but once that was sorted out we found our place and had an awesome stay! We were close enough to Altstadt Salzburg to walk to every place we wanted to get to!

Good location with easy transportation to the center of town. The owner was very kind and helpful. And the apartment super comfortable.

A large, very clean and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment, suitable for 3 adults. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood and close to public transport in to the city. Two supermarkets & a few restaurants within walking distance. Kitchen equipment was excellent, beds were very comfortable, lovely towels and linen and a spacious living room all made for a very enjoyable stay. Hosts were friendly and their communication was excellent. Highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely, spacious apartment in a quiet area of Salzburg but only 15 minute walk from the centre (or 5 mins bus ride). All the amenities you would need including a small outside area. Marianne and Alfons were great hosts, shame we couldn’t speak German! Would definitely stay here again if visiting Salzburg or the Berchtesgaden area.

Marianna and Alfons’ apartment was the perfect place to spend our week in Salzburg! Very clean inside, with a well-stocked kitchen and nice shower and bathtub. Bear to several bus stops, getting around the city was a breeze. I highly recommend this apartment!

This was my second stay at the Keil's property. First was in May 2012. My second stay 11 years later in May 2023 was just as wonderful!!!! The apartment contained everything you could possibly need to be comfortable. And it was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Convenient location. Hosts are one of the kindest couples I know. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. The bed was nice. Comfy living room. Great kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, pans and anything else you might need to cook your own food. (Could have used a microwave a few times, but heating things on the stove isn’t really that hard). The lady who showed us the place was very kind and answered our questions. The place was very clean when we arrived, and had all the amenities we could have asked for. It’s tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood, but still close enough to to town that you can walk, and there’s a bus stop right on the nearest street that can take you right into the heart of the old city, or wherever else you might like to go. Highly recommended!

Das Apartment ist geräumig und modern ausgestattet. Es verfügt über eine große Küche mit allen nötigen Geräten, sowie ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer. Außerdem war das Bett sehr bequem. Alles war sauber und aufgeräumt. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Außerdem wurden uns ein Stadtplan, sowie diverse Broschüren bereitgestellt, was sehr hilfreich war. Wir haben täglich öffentliche Verkehrsmittel genutzt und waren sehr zufrieden mit der Anbindung. In nur 5 min Fußweg befindet sich die O-Bus-Haltestelle Bräuhausstraße, die die Linien 1 und 10 bedient und aller 10-15min ins Stadtzentrum fährt. Außerdem verkehrt die Linie 1 zum Hauptbahnhof, den es in ca. 20min erreicht. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Gerne wieder.

Clean, warm & modern flat, in quiet residential location, only a 20minute walk to Salzburg Town centre. Good bus service nearby. Tastefully furnished. A microwave & a few storage tubs would be useful. Would certainly book again when back in Salzburg.

Marianne and Alfons were easy to work with. Their apartment is about a 25 minute walk to old town which my wife and I don't mind. Bus stations are very close (3-6 minutes) and connect you to everything. The apartment is in a quiet area and is spacious. For us it was perfect. The hosts were personable and helpful. Mark

The property was adorable and super clean and well taken care of. The language difference was a barrier when communicating with property manager. The check in and check out process was unclear and there was delayed response time when communicating through the Website. More instructions need to be given for checking in and out. The place and location was very acceptable and lovely.

The entire apartment was perfectly clean… the cleanest place we’ve ever seen! Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you need. Roomy and comfortable! It’s only a short walk to a bus stop. Our only caveat: Owner didn’t speak much English, so communication was difficult until we used Google Translate! 😊

A family of 3 - two newly retired parents and adult daughter - enjoyed a week here in July 2022. Very comfortable, close to the city centre and with buses nearby (we didn't have a car). Hosts were helpful. Definitely recommended

This flat seems furnished like for an owner, not short stay renters. Very thoughtful details included like hooks in bathroom, a 3 tiered wagon with baskets for your toiletries, nightlights beside the bed, scissors in the kitchen, plenty of closet space, and many other things most units don’t have. This flat is up half a flight of stairs, and is the whole first floor of the house. It’s very spacious and comfortable. It’s a bit of a walk to the Old Town, but we walked it every day. It’s easily doable if you’re mobile. Otherwise the bus stop is a few blocks away. Mrs. Keil was warmly welcoming and helpful. We didn’t meet Mr. Keil. Apparently he looks after the Internet and correspondence aspect of the business. He was out of town when I wrote asking for details, and I didn’t receive a reply, but it all went well. They live in the same house one floor up. We speak German so we could communicate, but I don’t think they speak English. If you can manage to communicate it’s a place I’d highly recommend.

Thank you to the owners for an incredible accomodation. Apartment are super clean, well organized and on the quiet street with easy parking and 20 min walk from the old town. We will be back.

The other reviews cover the cleanliness of the property and a small language barrier are accurate. We loved the place. There was no complaints about the apartment. It is about 250 meters to the bus stop and a short ride to the old city. Grocery was also very close too.

I am a clean freak and this property is very clean. The property is very spacious for the both of us. The master bedroom is big and has very comfortable bed and bedding. Each bedroom has big cabinet for storage. The living room is big and bright and has access to the patio. The kitchen is spacious and very clean. All appliances look very new. Kitchenware, dinnerware, utensils are all very clean. There are complimentary beers and water bottle in the refrigerator. House sandals are also provided. The bathroom is spacious and clean, lots of room to put our toiletries. I like how the commode is in a separate room than the bathroom. The towels are very soft and clean. The owners put a lot of thought into designing this property, it doesn't feel like a rental at all, it feels like home. Everything is spacious, clean and functional. Internet is fast. The owners live upstairs, they are elder couple and they don't speak much english but they are very friendly, kind and helpful if we ever need anything. The property is very close to the bus stop and BILLA grocery, about 5 min walking. There are two buses that will take you to city center, about 15 min bus ride to the center. The bus runs frequently. We always enjoy our bus ride, it passes by the suburb which are still covered with trees and greens. On one of the road you can even see HohenSalzburg fortress on the hill with green field below it. In all we had a wonderful experience, I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Salzburg.

This was a home away from home. Spacious, spotless, quiet neighbourhood with good frequent transport links back into city centre. Close to supermarkets. Pleasant friendly managers. Comfortable 2 bedrooms, big lounge, plenty of storage space. Pictures on website are very accurate .

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Salzburg. The photos are accurate but in person even better. Spotlessly clean, great mattress and bedding, good water pressure for showers and wi-fi worked fine. I would rate this apartment and the owners, Marianne and Alfons a 10 star experience. Can walk or easily get tram to the city, lovely residential neighborhood. From initial contact thru our departure it was absolutely wonderful. ! Danke!!

Lovely apartment in a quiet residential location just outside the city centre. Walk to centre about 15-20mins but regular buses available just round the corner. Very comfortable well maintained apartment with more space than we required with only 2 of us. Everything we needed in the kitchen to cook and our lovely hosts not only left a chocolate on our pillow but a couple of beers and water in the fridge as well.

Location to the airport and the city is perfect. Local buses run from just around the corner and are so frequent. The property is beautiful, pristine and very very spacious in a quiet residential area. Would definitely recommend to others and would not hesitate to book this again when we return to Salzburg.

First, the hosts who live upstairs are wonderful and extremely helpful. Second the place is spacious and cozy. Third, the neighborhood is not far from city center, just a bus ride away (10-12 minutes); It is calm and safe with close by markets and eateries. In summary: this place is perfect!

It was a great pleasure to stay in this apartment. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and comfortable, exactly like the photos. The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment located in a very quiet area but pretty close to city center. Everything is in walking distance. Lots of cafes and supermarket nearby. Check in for this apartment was perfect. Our plane arrived early and our hosts arranged for an early check in and were waiting for us when we arrived. Marianne and Alfons were very friendly and helpful. All in all, so glad we visited Salzburg and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. We can’t recommend this apartment highly enough. Alfons and Marianne were so sweet! Staying in their home felt like staying with family. It was spacious, comfortable and felt like home. The location was perfect next to the bus stop. We would definitely stay again.

This rental was all anyone could hope for. The recommendations of our hosts for restaurants, pubs and cafes were excellent. The rental location to the historic district required a 10-15 minute direct bus ride which was covered with our Salzburg Card. We walked it the first day.

Marianne and her family couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The place had ample room and was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through Salzburg!

Marianne and Alfons made us feel like part of their family. They live in the same building and are easily accessible if you have any questions. We were greeted with candy at our bedside and two local beers (from the brewery down the street) and bottled water in the refrigerator. There was extensive information on places to shop and eat, the bus routes, along with information on Salzburg. The house looks like it is new and everything you need for an extended stay is there. The kitchen has the necessary dishware, cookware, utensils, and silverware so you can eat in if you choose. It was truly as presented, and sparkling clean. There is both a shower and bathtub which we seldom found on our 5 week trip in Austria. The public transportation is simply a few blocks away. There are two grocery stores within walking distance, and several cafes, including a restaurant for vegetarians. Alfons kindly waited with us at the gate for our departing taxi. Although the couple spoke little English, we found it to be no hindrance to our visit and new friendship. I highly recommend this quiet, inexpensive, and comfortable rental from this kind couple.

We stayed in the Keil's apartment for just over two weeks through Christmas and New Year and it was just perfect. The Keil's are a lovely couple and they made us feel very welcome. The apartment is very spacious and is so clean (it's even cleaner than my mother's house!) - it felt like a home away from home for us. There were children's games and puzzles in our son's room which were a welcome site for him. Our lack of Deutsche and their lack of English was not a problem, nothing a bit of google translate couldn't help with. Prior to our arrival we communicated via email without any problem. The apartment is in a quiet, safe neighbourhood, walking distance to shops, park and the bus-stops, which we used most days. We could park our car right in front of the house, which was a huge bonus. The kitchen is a good size and has just about everything you need - we prepared many meals there, including Christmas lunch. The bathroom, again so clean it looked brand new, has a full size bath and lovely shower. We had been travelling for months, so such quality was greatly appreciated. We 100% recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit Salzburg, but who prefer to stay out of the frantic city centre. Everything was perfect.

This apartment is a real gem. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could wish for. The owners are lovely too. It's very easy to either walk or get the bus to the centre, also there are plenty of local shops to do your grocery shopping. And, if you like beer, it is just down the road from the Stiegl brewery, which is the oldest privately-owned brewery in Austria - and the beer is delicious! I'm looking forward to a return visit!
