Lovely little cottage in a beautiful and very central location.

Location was exceptional - right next to the church in a beautiful setting. The cottage was very characterful and well supplied. Mandy was helpful and friendly.

The dining table was quite small and had to be pulled out and set up - we were fine with this but it is worth knowing about.

Such a sweet little cottage. Perfectly placed and very comfortable, with everything you need and more! Mandy was so helpful and accommodating. Wonderful!

There was no parking outside the property, but free parking a moment away up the hill slightly. I wouldn’t say we didn’t like it though as we did find parking okay.

Loved it… will highly recommend this cute little cottage.

Excellent location. Very quiet lane, no through traffic. In the centre of the village with easy access to all amenities. The little cottage was so quirky and felt so snug. Bonus that our host Mandy left us some additional luxuries.

Clothes space or storage. We were only there a couple of nights so it wasn’t to bad living out of our bags.

Quiet, quaint and comfortable

Beautiful quaint cottage that felt like home away from home. Very comfortable Mandy is a wonderful host, checking in before our stay to find out what the children liked to drink, leaving bread and milk for us to enjoy too and although we didn't need to contact Mandy during our stay for anything, I imagine nothing would be too much trouble!

Mandy made our stay very special it was are anniversary we received chocolates card and procceco in the fridge everything you needed was thier fabulous cottage still kept traditional but with all the modern facilities extremely clean very good beds and linen towels very quite fabulous view

Beautiful clean and cosy cottage in a great location. Mandy the host was exceptional in her communication and customer service. Really made our stay special. Even left us some beer in the fridge which was really welcome after a days walking

See above...enjoyable, lovely location, comfortable...

Lovely area, charming, close to everything. All the views are lovely, especially the upstairs bedrooms. Remarkable views just outside the door. The small garden when the sun if overhead is terrific (about 11 to 2 during our visit). also, interactions with our host Mandi went well, amiable, and any questions concerns were immediately answered.

The ground floor of the cottage would greatly benefit if there were a way of providing a table, possibly fold up, to sit at so as to eat, play games, write letters. That is the only feature missing in the house. The upstairs areas are lovely as is the bathroom. And the galley kitchen works.

Second time staying in the fabulous No. 2 Cottage!

We’ve just returned from our second stay at No. 2 Cottage in Kirkby Lonsdale, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time! The cottage is absolutely delightful—so cosy and welcoming, it feels like a home away from home. Mandy’s thoughtful touches throughout really set it apart, from the carefully curated decor to the little extras that make your stay extra special. She’s such a fabulous host, always friendly, attentive, and quick to communicate. We couldn’t ask for more! Thank you, Mandy, for making our stay so memorable. We’re already looking forward to coming back again next year!

Wedding anniversary treat

Everything!! It's as beautiful inside as outside. There has been so much thought and care put into the decor and finishing touches and there is everything you could possibly need. Mandy our Host was wonderful she did everything she could to make our stay as good as possible . It was exceptional and we can't wait to go back. Definitely our new favourite place.

Such a beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. We stayed to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge and it was everything we needed for a perfect stay. Nice quiet location, very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated and clean. The village has lovely places to eat out and a spar and little supermarket to buy food. Also want to add that the owner, Mandy, kept in contact with me the whole way through our stay and was very accommodating to all our questions and needs, very kind, so thank you very much!

Where to start….the location was beautiful with the cottage overlooking the Church grounds. When we got inside the cottage we found that Mandy had bought some essentials like milk, bread etc which may be a small thing but it’s the little things that make the difference. The property was spotless and the shower was great as well. I could really go on and it’s the best place I’ve found on this site.

Perfect location of a lovely little cottage.

This is such a lovely little cottage situated in the heart of the village but on a very quiet lane overlooking the magnificent village church. It had everything that we needed and Mandy ( the owner) provided us with bread,milk,butter, biscuits jam, tea, coffee etc for our arrival. In addition the bottle of Prosecco she had chilled in the fridge was a lovely idea for our first night. We used the log fire which made such a cosy evening for us. There are lots of bars, lovely shops and eating places close by. All in all we could not fault the location and facilities No 2 provided. Mandy contacted us before our arrival and before our departure to check all had been satisfactory which we thought was a nice touch too. It is easy to park temporarily outside the cottage to drop of bags etc. Parking was then free on the road about 3 minute walk . We had one amazing meal at the Pheasant Inn which was a 5 minute drive away.

Beautiful property in a gorgeous area. Excellent location

This is a beautiful period property very well equipped with modern facilities, clean and tidy. The area is amazing the cottage is in a great location, literally a minute or two walk to the main street. Mandy the owner is very attentive and helpful, she left us bread, milk, coffee, tea, butter all the essentials that we would need on arrival that saved us carting them with us and the keys are easily accessed. Information spot on regarding parking. Very nice touches, folder in the property with all the information needed (inc WiFi code) plus places to eat and a monthly Kirby Lonsdale magasine to find out what is going on in the town. Beautiful place to stay we will be booking again.
