The property is ideal for us to stay place can bring the dogs. Beautiful, cosy with everything we needed. Stayed a few times ‘ hopefully will stay again.
Nothing to dislike

Great service and easy access to cottage. Key box details provided in advance of our arrival.
Nothing we didnt like, although the kettle handle needs attention and opening the front window caused the external wooden batten to dislodge. The lodge was perfect for our little christmas break.

The location is exceptional, very close to all the amenities.
Lots of little extras, wine was much appreciated.
The bed was most comfortable.
Lovely property would definitely stay again

This was one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in (and we stay in LOTS!)! Right in the heart of the village a stones throw from pubs, restaurants and shops. The wine and mince pies on arrival was such a lovely touch from the hosts too! ❤️ Will definitely come and stay again.
Although the picture shows one of the beds under low eaves it isn’t ideal for an adult. We didn’t use it in the end fortunately.

We have stayed in Kirkby Lonsdale at least four times. This is a favorite. It was a charming choice, very clean, and centrally located. Communication with the owner was quick and easy.
We have larger suitcases and were unable to get them up the steep and narrow stair case. Not a deal breaker but we had to change downstairs.

Lovely and cosy, perfect location, super clean.
Found the sofa a bit uncomfortable, and would have welcomed some nicer shower gel and shampoo etc.

Lovely property in a great location and the addition of the parking space was very helpful. Beds were clean and overall it felt clean. Cosy little cottage and kids loved their room being in the ‘attic’
Unfortunately a strong smell of dog overwhelmed the property and the top floor a musty smell possibly from damp carpet as there were damp patches where velux had leaked and it was wet.

Beautiful cottage in a great location
No Visitor handbook, tea towels, tin foil, cooking oil. No instructions for the hob. There were multiple missing bulbs in the light fittings. I received a check out email in Sunday 10am when we had booked till Monday. For the price I would have expected everything to be right and perhaps a better welcome basket not just milk and a bottle of wine and a pack of biscuits. Possible we have been spoiled at other properties but immediately we had to go out for bread and butter.

The property is well presented with everything you may need taken into consideration down to a pint of milk in the fridge and a welcome bottle of wine. There was nothing 'basic' about the property, it was finished and furnished to a high standard, all beds and furnishings were extremely comfortable, kitchen was small but more than adequate with an excellent collection of pans etc. Could have happily lived there :-)
Could have done with some instructions on how to use the oven, it took a bit of figuring out but got there eventually, maybe a pair of oven gloves too, sorry if this is asking a bit too much :-)
Tried to book for next year, same weekend but booked up already :-(

we know the village well and knew the location of the cottage, we were pleasantly surprised how comfortable the accommodation was. the welcome coffee and biscuits was great as was the wine!
Our friends had the twin room and being over 5 foot 6 they had to bend quite a lot due to the limited head space in the eaves, thankfully they didnt bang their heads!

The location was fabulous …virtually right near the centre. The property itself was immaculate…quirky & so comfortable. Great value for money and the hosts left us fresh milk and a bottle of wine ❤️
Nothing at all. The property was so lovely.

Great location clean tidy, everything u need in there couch needs updating , bedroom furniture quite tatty , a smell of dog when we walked in ,
Owner was abrupt , my partner proposed to me there, flowers had been delivered by the florist there, the cleaner had took them home thinking the past quests left them, when my partner contacted Carolyn her attitude was not what it should of been, the cleaner brought them back laughing at my face at door and outside the cottage for a few mins, I was disgusted , we took them back the florist day after and she said they had been ruined as was not delivered like that,

Location and warmth
No cafetière for coffee drinkers and the lights in the top bedroom need attention!

Loved the location of the cottage - very close to the Radical steps and river walk which was fabulous for my dog. Kirby Lonsdale is a beautiful town with lots of different shops and Cafes plus walks - I left a bag in the cottage when I checked out & the host contacted me immediately- so I got it back promptly- perhaps a discount could be considered for people travelling alone who don’t use the top floor (something to think about for future guests ?) The cottage was beautifully presented and great to cook in - the second time I have stayed ❤️ which tells you how much I like it - very dog friendly with stone floors and easy to block off the kitchen from dogs - my dog always sleeps downstairs at home so was happy to do the same here - thoughtful of the owner to leave me a bottle of wine and some milk

Central location to town. Great setting and central to countryside in Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Good variety of local shops. Will recommend to others.
Instructions could of been supplied to facilities in cottage such as cooker and recycling /bin collection etc.

The master bedroom was beautiful and has a great feel to it. Location is right in the town centre. The bath is reasonably sized. Overall, quite a pleasant spot.
The place would benefit from an electrician, lots of lights don't work. The windows and blinds were difficult to operate too. The TV speakers are very tinny. Parking options are limited.

We didn't need the twin room but there must have been an accident on the carpet smell was terrible.I would not have liked to sleep there.
We were left a lovely welcome pack but unfortunately all the coffee's and biscuits were out of date

The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Will definitely recommend
Although we were absolutely fine. We both did comment the attic room might cause someone with mobility issues a problem with narrow stairs. It was bit awkward with case.
