Perfect, we would return in a flash!

Perfect location with lots of pubs, cafes and shops on the doorstep. Beautiful scenery. The house itself is gorgeous, lots of attention to detail and the host has thought of everything, kitchen fully equipped. Lots of towels, toilet roll, toiletries etc. A real home from home. Nice and toasty warm also on a cold January weekend. Lovely welcome pack too!!

This is an excellent property in an ideal location in beautiful village

The location was delightful, with walking distance access to a range of good restaurants, pubs, and the countryside. The property is lovely and tastefully decorated, featuring good-quality appliances and fittings. The property owners are responsive and very helpful.

The key challenge was related to the breakdown of the cooker the week before we arrived, which required its replacement. This caused us to have to delay our arrival at the house by one day. However, the owners worked very hard to get a replacement bought and fitted before Christmas, which was a great achievement on their part and saved the holiday from being abandoned.

Its not a dislike , but it has just 1 main bathroom, with shower , the top floor has a toilet in a small space and bath in the bedroom .

Fab, fab - MUST STAY HERE!

This property is one of the best my family and I have ever stayed in. So clean, so beautifully decorated and the hosts were absolutely amazing. It was my partners birthday and they left us a bottle of bubbly and a birthday card - what a lovely touch! The beds were super comfy, the furnishings made each room feel homely therefore all of our party settled straight in. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and more with a fab dining table for us all. All bathrooms were amazing, clean, spacious and again, beautifully decorated. The location is also incredible, literally a two minute walk from the centre.

I couldn’t give anything negative about this property.

A beautiful cottage in the perfect location.

The cottage was very comfortable. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed experimenting with the coffee machine. The downstairs toilet was a bonus. There were lots of little added extras that were very thoughtful and welcome. Fiona was a top class host; her communication with us was fabulous.

We would’ve liked a set of drawers in each of the bedrooms and there was only one shower.

Outstanding accommodation in a fantastic location

Fabulous location with free parking nearby. The property itself was immaculate with everything you could need and space for a family to spread out. The kids wanted to say that the beds were the most comfortable they’ve ever slept in!

Very tastefully renovated. Lovely bedrooms. Great kitchen.

Uncluttered, clean, modern, cosey old-meets-new cottage in convenient central location.

If you are looking for a quiet cottage in the country surrounded by fields and views then this is not the property for you. However, if you are looking for a comfy cottage that is tastefully presented and conveniently situated in the the beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale then this is for you. Central location, old house but well modernised, comfy beds, cosey feel. Super helpful host readily contactable and quick to reply. Park in New Road car park 1 and get extended stay ticket. Very short cut-thru to the house.

Some reviewers mention noise from local businesses in the morning - but all part of the location and charm and no big deal.

Great property, location and host.

Excellent property in a fantastic location. Host very helpful and we loved the little touches and welcome gift. Beds were very comfortable and everything was thought of including dishwasher tablet, washing capsule, kitchen roll, toiletries, coffee pods (only found them as we were leaving). Property in immaculate condition and was very clean. Would definitely recommend.

When using the shower, water ended up all over the bathroom floor and side of the sink unit no matter how the shower was angled. No hand rail on the stairs. Was very problematic for a couple of guests who nearly fell a few times due to mobility issues. A hand rail on the stairs would make a massive difference to anyone with balance or mobility issues and just make it more safe. Still loved our stay but maybe something for the host to consider.
