Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were first rate. We also ate dinner in the restaurant twice during the long Easter weekend. Terrific food across the board. Room 12 had a direct view of the cathedral and a tiny view of "Ruskin's View". It was peaceful and quiet.
The bed in our room (12) was so firm that it was difficult to sleep. It would have been nice if the Inn had a small lounge area separate to the bar and restaurant.

Rooms nice and comfortable.
Food labelled on menu as gluten free was clearly not. Gas ran out on pumps so not all beer available and bar closed at 9pm but was able to take a drink to room. Breakfast was small but ok. Was charged £30 extra for our small dog to stay in room.
