Central location with amenities on doorstep.

Excellent location..centre of Kirby Lonsdale.

Climb stairs from kitchen to dining room. No room in kitchen for meals to be taken. We didn’t cook meals for this reason.

A wonderful and homely base from which to escape from the pressures of everyday life.

We loved being close to Devils Beach. We have family connections going back 4 generations and are very attached to the area. Our two Autistic grandchildren (13 and 11) found the local people to be extremely friendly and helpful and they loved the peace and serenity of the countryside. Indoors we loved eating together in the dining room, relaxing in the lounge and the general decor of the home - such things as bedroom cushions, paintings, an 'old telephone, beautiful lighting and beams. The home was very well equipped, with all we needed.

The children's mother has fibromyalgia and climbing the stairs was not ideal for her but having said that, they were well-spaced.

Lovely quaint cottage

Great location and lovely quaint cottage. Very cosy!

Parking was interesting but thats because Kirby is a popular place! Good instructions in the cottage, perhaps add a note to the confirmation email advising that there are free parking areas in the village and details are included in the welcome instructions (we only found these out after we had parked!)

The location was good. Near all the main sightseeing places.

It was very noisy. The neighbours kept up awake on the Friday and Sunday night getting drunk and talking outside the property. The Indian restaurant also is very noisy from the other side of the cottage. Such a shame as it’s such a lovely place and location.

It's close proximity to the village. A good place to visit the Lakeland area and some lovely quaint villages.

Parking a car is a nightmare. Arriving on a Saturday afternoon there were no available spaces in either of the two pay and display car parks. All roadside parking bays were also taken.
