The Old Hay Loft

The property has a central location, with easy access to the town and its facilities. The apartment was very clean, and well maintained. Although small, everything was well planned, and the four of us were comfortable. We couldn't find scissors, but otherwise the kitchen was very well equipped. The bathroom was attractive and user-friendly. The key collection worked. We would certainly book again.

The information about car parking was a little misleading. The free on-street parking mentioned is in fact a considerable distance away, and is very limited - be prepared to pay for daytime car parking spaces (nighttime is easier, with free spaces locally until 8am). The Snooty Fox pub opposite is VERY noisy - not just regular pub noise, but karaoke, drunken arguments, and cat fights until the early hours. We may have been unlucky, but there was loud and unruly behaviour each night. However, it did all clear by around midnight.

The place was very small and the pictures online are actually about two properties so you think you’re going into a larger space. It’s not suitable for a family of 4 with adult kids really, small fridge, no dining table, main bedroom windows are outside a pub which made for bad sleep on a Friday and Saturday nights.

The location

Overpriced when comparing with other similar properties all within the town. Lock box very fiddly and difficult to open and close. No welcome touches
