About this apartment rental
The little palace where the la perla apartment is situated was built several centuries ago - as most of the Venetian buildings- and it has been difficult to restore to its original state.
Two full years of intense restoration has recovered its artistic and cultural beauty so well known all over the world.
The main structure has been kept due to strict rules of our monument conservation superintendence that forbids futuristic transformations.
LA PERLA apartment has three areas about the same size and facing the canal. We were able to obtain a large living room, a medium kitchen, three bedrooms, two large bathrooms without changing the outside fantastic look. From each room you can enjoy a unique panorama mostly on the canal and open space around.
The floors are in jroko wood cut in large boards and inserted along the wall in a wide sheet of Pietra d'Istria (recovered from the restoration) and treated with bee wax. This gives an extraordinary brightness to the room.
The bathrooms are really luxurious all in marble. The bathroom with bathtub is in pesco di Verona marble recalling the Istrian stone of the other room.
The bathroom with twin lavatories and shower is in flowery travertine marble and stone.
The original ceiling beams and the marmorino finishing of the walls, as well as all other details speak of a true Venetian house.
The furnishing is elegant. We chose good quality for the beds, the furniture and the well equipped kitchen. Avoiding any exaggeration. You have all the space to create your own atmosphere. The location of the house is rather central within walking distance you can reach the Academy area, the Frari and Saint Rocco churches. In 15 minutes you can go to Saint Mark's square and the Doge's Palace, via 22 marzo with its famous boutiques.
If you want to rest for a while you can sit in one of the small cafe in the minor squares inhabited by Venitians and not invaded by tourists. You can stroll in Saint Barnaba square or along the Zattere facing the basin. In the evening you can have a full immersion in the very lively campo Santa Margherita, general meeting point for a sprtiz, a Venetian typical aperitif.

The apartment is a jewel! The location is near everywhere you want to go and see. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, with many good restaurants nearby. ( we loved the food at the Africa experience)
The apartment is spacious and clean. Plenty of room for 5 adults. The washer was a bonus and clothes dry so quickly!
I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great apartment! Rooms were big, spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped! We loved the location and the restaurants on the same street of the apartment. Venice was a great city to visit! I will stay here again! Thank you

This was a perfect space for our family!
Very comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to the water taxi stop. Many wonderful restaurants nearby. It was a great find!

The check in process was a bit too cumbersome. The A/C is only in one room so the bedrooms are stuffy on the warmer days.
Other than that we liked the property and had a great time 🙂
