I had various communications with the hotel before arriving as had questions about late check in, directions to the accommodation etc. I received prompt responses with detailed descriptions that helped answer my questions. The location of the accommodation was perfect. One street away from the water bus which was ideal for airport transfers, 5/10 minutes walk from St Marc’s square. A good landmark to head for to get back to your accommodation when the wandering takes you further afield. We had little interaction with staff whilst there but when we did they were pleasant and helpful. The only downside was that the room was a little cold on an evening but our stay was the beginning of October. We weren’t there long enough to speak to staff about it as I’m sure there would have been an easy fix but it didn’t bother us enough to say anything.

This hotel feels like you are in Venice. The room was very small but the bathroom was large. My room overlooked a small courtyard and the window opened. The room did have air-conditioning as the warm humid temperatures made it very appreciated. (You just have to make sure the window is closed- so the Air-conditioning works) There hotel manager is only there for a few hours a day - so you have to read you email - to get instructions on how to enter the building ... but it is not too complicated. The hotel is very close to the water-bus - that you can catch from the train station. It was very enjoyable location and room.

The hotel staff was mainly uncontactable. No proper instructions on reaching the hotel. The whatsapp and expedia messenger were ghost. Emergency took 1 hour. I understand that no reception we cannot intercom for assistance but replies taking more than 3-4 hours is unacceptable. Lastly the room instruction guide states 1030am check out. But the staff messaged everyone 8am. Amazing and she can have time to toast her breakfast at 7am.

We stayed in the family apartment. The room was large and clean. Still, or stay was marred because the floor of the apartment was uneven and caused me to fall and injure my knee. Specifically, one corner of the room was about six inches lower than the remainder of the room, and because the room was dimly lit when we arrived and the flooring uniform and dark, we did not see the "step down" and we were not informed of its existence. Result: a fall that impaired me for our entire visit.

Not sure what the standard is in venice but this was not good. Our room was very big but the “living room” part was also used as storage, the advertised soundproof room was anything but that. Might have been the smallest shower we have ever seen with no hot water on our departure day.

We were here two nights. The first night we went to an opera in the Musica a Palazzo.(right next door to us!) The hotel rooms were beautiful, very roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good! 5 minutes from San Marcos...the Vaporetto is also not far. We really enjoyed it very much! And we will definitely be coming back.

Laura greeted us on arrival and provided excellent information for our time in Venice. The facilities are the same as a B&B, with bedrooms leading off the dining room. All the gondolas pass along the narrow canal just outside the front door. Walking from St Marks Square, we followed directions for the Accademia which brought us right to our destination as it is on the way. Just remember that all property numbers in Venice are uniqueto each property. Looking forward to a return visit.

I had a sweet time and thought it did get cold at night but that was cool really or acclimatised even. By the end I was walking bare foot and a professional microwave chef. The reception was great. When I arrived I failed to recognise that I had actually arrived so a water taxi came in handy at 2 am and it was wicked. I wasnt wearing flip flops thats why. When it came to check out I was oblivious and Wifi-ng across the grand canal at a bar and was really being dealt with by the staff who gave me food bags and stuff. The local art exhibitions are rather distracting and most Venetians that i asked wont really know where the place really is that late at night☺ even if their English is really good. I went to the beach a couple of times and a nightclub which was just crazy since Italians do things their way and was packed. I did like the location and handing my new cups and rubbish in bought from supermarkets. Visiting the place before I was soon habituated to other peoples idiosyncrasies around the area. Then I went on to my next hostel.

We had a nice stay here. The location was great and a short walk to san marco square. The small double room is perfect for two people the space is nice. Directions given on hotels website were good and made the hotel easy to find from train station.

Now that I've been in Venice, I know that "affordable" or "reasonable" are not words in their vocabulary. Paying almost $800 Euros for what I consider a 2-star (3-star at best) experience, is not what I'd call a good deal. Very disappointed with this hotel experience, despite the hotel's personnel best intentions.
