If you are choosing this property for the swimming pool this isn’t the place to visit. It wasn’t very clean or inviting.

Quiet family B&B in a lovely house & gardens

Great location, very peaceful, lovely old family home full of history, super nice hosts, breakfast was wonderful. Great on site motorcycle parking.

A fan in the room would be helpful. The lack of any ventilation in bathroom and no proper bathroom door might be a challenge for dome people

A stop over on a bike tour.

The location was excellent. The bed was comfortable and there was a superb shower. The breakfast was ok but not exceptional and was on a pre order basis rather than help yourself which was a little awkward. The building itself was magnificent with a marble entrance hall and vaulted ceiling’s. There were extensive gardens.

We were on the 3 rd floor and the lift was out of action. We were on a cycle tour and there was inadequate storage for bikes and what there was was not secure for our expensive e bikes. There was tea/coffee available in the room but served in paper cups. China cups would have been nicer.

Beautiful authentic place

Historical mansion with a lot of authentic elements - really good if you will actually spend the time inside. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast is served , you can chose what you want to eat at arrival. Nice location with a lot of beatify villas - we had a nice view on one of them. Right next to a small park and walking distance from the city center. The building is very well maintained - there is no sign of rotten tree or smell. Very clean.

It seems like the pool was under algae attack (green water) and they couldn’t fix it before we left. Quite disappointing, since the pool was the reason we chose this place. It’s an old building, so you can hear the neighbors shutting the doors. There was no cable TV and no streaming service - the tv booth in the room and at the lobby only had 3 Dutch channels. They have a dvd player in the reception, but no DVDs to play. Due to schedule mismatch, unfortunately we couldn’t taste the dinner cooked by the host. So could be a good idea to plan ahead. The room itself is just a place to sleep (very small and basic), compared to the rest of the mansion. The bathroom of room 4 has a separate entrance from the room itself, so you have to leave the room into the hallway to enter the bathroom ( but the bathroom itself is very spacious).

Room number 1 was 49 stair steps from ground floor, had no fire safety information or practical escape. Bath room had a venetion blind for a door paper cups to make hot drinks had to ask for tea bags and milk. Breakfast eggs burnt

Great location and place, but bit too expensive (for value)

Great location, nice room, warm bed (with bed heating), nice view from our room, great to meet other guests, breakfast was nice, fireplace was cosy in the living room

We had to pay immediately when arriving without seeing the room (felt a bit uncomfortable), extra pay for sauna, we missed some part of the breakfast (we had to mention a day earlier what we precisely want for breakfast, missed the orange juice and some bread).

the b&b is located in a residential area of venlo, very quiet, and very close to the city center, the owners of the house were very kind, hearty breakfast and very comfortable bedroom. In addition, I thank the owner for being kind enough to leave me and my colleague at the train station in his car.
