Overall, I loved my stay and would recommend this place.

Location is excellent, this room is in the back of the building, so likely quieter than the street side. Bed was very comfortable, the whole place was super clean.

The stairs to the third floor were very steep more like a ladder. I suppose this might be common in Europe, but for my little old lady knees and suitcase, I had to leave it on the floor below! Also, the listing as B and B, I was expecting the second B to be breakfast, its just coffee or tea, so that is a little misleading.

Lovely room let down by not honouring the booking price

Clean bathroom and comfortable, well equipped room.

They scam by charging 50% more city tax than either Booking.com quotes on the reservation or other hotels within the city charge, and their staff can't explain why. They just say that it's what they charge and insist it's paid.

Poor hotel. I do not recommend it.

Apart from the location, there is absolutely nothing.

A fictitious 30 euro late check-in fee, even though we were assured we could check in by 11 p.m. Everything in the hotel is creaky. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Overnight stay

Closeness to the train station. Easy transport connection to the hotel. The guy that checked us in was nice and friendly. We enjoyed the cookies as well The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

We were asked to pay €5,50 Touristen fee instead of 4.00 stated on the site. They also collected €25.00 from us because we arrived late. We were communicating the whole time wirh them about the delay in our journey which made our arrival time extended beyond what we thought. We also did not see the late arrival fees on their site but it was stated that we should communicate with the prooerty for an arrangement in case of late arrival and that was what we did. The staff that collected the money from us was rude. Television was listed as part of the Fachliteratur in the room but we found no Television in our room.

Very little

The accommodation access was through the cafe at all hours. The stairs were incredibly steep and dangerous. The rooms were poor little comfort hot and with people taking drugs beneath the window so unable to open. The private bathroom was across the very noisy hall alongside the dangerous stairs and had no outside lock so wasn't private and other guests used it to go to the toilet. The handle was off on the inside which made it difficult to shut. This is advertised as a bed and breakfast but isn't.. It's a room and if you want breakfast you pay extra £15 each extra. The breakfast may have been lovely but I expected it in the price especially considering the poor quality room, and the cost of it.

Be careful to book this property since their check-in time is until 6:00 pm, there will be extra charge with late check in, and there is no remind about late arrival with email or calling, I missed the time, and can not check in.

Terrible experience, since there was no one reply the calling, and no remind of any solution with late arrival, there is nothing I can do since the train was delayed then cancelled, and I arrive before midnight.

A lot of cafes, restaurants, shops nearby, closest supermarket is about 10 minutes away by foot. Staff was nice and helpful. Complementary cookies.

Ventilation fans of cafe are quite loud at night and located right near the window.

breakfast was really good, the restaurant is very nice, the room itself has good comfort and was very clean

there was an air conditioner right next to the window of my room. also there was a warm water pipe going through my room that was badly isolated. It was too warm during the night but opening the window let the strong noise in from the air conditioner. Sleep wasn't good. I had to pay 15€ late check-in fee at 19.30 CET, allthough i got in late only because of train delay which was not my fault. This felt bad.

Delicious breakfast

Breakfast was fantastic and great value for money. Cafe below was very charming and cosy. Room had everything we needed, including fresh coffee and cookies. Beds were comfy. Super sweet to provide ear plugs - we were surprised at the loud party atmosphere in Venlo during the weekend!

There was an automatic air freshener spray in the bathroom that sprayed regularly, so we could hear the sprays even with the bathroom door closed - very annoying for light sleepers! Some simple decoration/furnishing changes could improve the room a lot.

Nice cosy stay, close to trains station with a must have breakfast.

Little cousy place at the centrum of Old Velno. The employees were very responsive and welcoming, nice. Definitely have breakfast here! Very cute and tasty. We felt like we were visiting friends.

Nice place for a short stay and for going out in Venlo.

Nice Appartment in the center near lots of bars and restaurants.

As we arrived the staff appeared a bit stressed and rushed as it was about closing time. We said in advance we arrive with bikes but then they didnt know at first where to put them. But they then could offer to put them inside via the emergency exit which was nice and helpful.

Nice and easy in the city centre

The room is perfectly located, directly in the city center and a few minutes from the main station. The room was tidy, spacious and well equipped.

The Check-In is only possible till 6pm which I did not see before booking. With our train we would have arrived at the place at 5min after 6pm and would have needed to pay additional 15€ which I found a bit weird. I then changed and arrived before my friend just to see that everyone was still there at 6:30pm anyhow...no big deal overall and I would still come back but it didn't feel very service-oriented.

Comfy, quaint, beautifully decorated and right in the lively centre of Venlo. Great for backpackers

Quaint property right in the old centre of the town, lively and handy but could be a bit noisy, as one might expect. Friendly and helpful staff, attractively decorated accommodation and comfortable room. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful, private (as advertised) but not ensuite. We had a very nice, comfortable stay. The food in the cafe looked lovely. Perfect for backpackers or those using public transport.

There was NO PARKING. We couldn't even get the car close and had to leave it at our friends house and walk. We had a 15 minute walk back to the car in the morning in the pouring rain carrying our baggage.

Bedankt Venlo, you were great!

Milk & Cookies a really cute cafe with accommodation above, room was clean and comfy with thankfully a fan as rather hot when we stayed (bottle of water in the room might have been nice). Staff mainly friendly and no issues plus Venlo a great little city!

Bathroom had an issue with the shower plughole so the water going all over the floor, did mention on leaving so presume all sorted. Breakfast was nice but not amazing, had seen the Instagram photos and thought WOW! but scrambled egg not good and avocado kinda off.
