Nice location, friendly staff. Good bed.

Carpet on the floors. Dinner was fully booked. Advisable to reserve before arrival. Hotel provided good recommendation though. Downtown Venlo is a short (taxi) ride. Shower is narrow.

The restaurant staff had an attitude of we do not care. Food served cold. We complained and said the food is cold. Please bring the bill. We did not wanna waste our evening. No questions asked we were brought the bill. Manager did not bother to come to us. I went to him and was not happy. His only reaction is “can you be civilized” Wow did not know I am not when you manage to get everything wrong…

We really enjoyed the location and the bar/food area. Rooms were nice and clean.

The breakfast was great and the staff was excellent. Loved the location. The road was a little tricky but the neighborhood was beautiful.

The second stay the room was heavily scented - maybe to cover up something from a previous person. It took a while to dissipate with all the windows and door open.

The staff was friendly and helpfull

The hotel is past due for a major upgrade. Next to the cracked sink there is a toilet dating from the middle ages (with a plateu so you can inspect your "doo-ings" . The room was very warm and there is no Airco. The windows could be openen (hold on to it otherwise it will fall out in a whole) but below you is the location where the staff comes and leaves for their work shifts. Some come by car others by mopped or bike. and they talk and smoke below your windows. We stayed 3 nights and paid over 500 euros which is way to much for thsi quality. You just pay the name :-(

Great atmosphere with the lake & the forest around the Hotel. Silence, good food, but a bit weary.

Great surroundings with the lake and hotel terrace next to it. You can walk around the lake (appr. 10-15mins). Good breakfast. Great dinner (good cook probably) but a bit expensive. Rooms are OK, meeting the standards.

Mobile aircon was a bit of a compromise (worked but noisy and if you want to put its output tube outside, you need to do it on your own thru the window). My colleague had lot of mosquitos in her room, I was lucky not having one... My washbasin was broken, though functionally worked well.

Don't tell anyone.

It's such a wonderful hotel, nestled in such magnificent nature, where everything is perfect. I don't want to tell anyone I won't be able to find a room next time :) It gives you an indescribable joy. A lake in front of you, nestled in the woods... Happy people all around you. Great customers. Great staff. (Finding both is sometimes very difficult.) I'm not exaggerating: I parked my car. I took a few steps towards the hotel. And I thought to myself, I was in heaven. As someone who has written hundreds of hotel reviews, I'm going to issue a warning: If anyone writes a negative review about this hotel, don't read it! I'd like to thank everyone from the reception desk to the service staff, and even the guests who visit.

Hotel in picturesque area that needs a wholesale change in staffing attitude and policy

Swimming pool good. Choice and quality at breakfast excellent. Room comfortable. lovely location not far from Venlo city.

Understaffed and staff morale poor. Rude receptionist who thought it was better to argue with us than find a solution to our issues. Waited 20 minutes in patio area to be asked if we wanted drinks. Ditto with restaurant order. No way of asking if we wanted our towels changed etc. Came back from day out and found our towels on bathroom floor and room untouched. Poor effort. in the end it was easier to go down to the pool and take some replacement towels from there.

I really like this hotel, location is awesome - a bit far away from the city, but this is OK. Quiet, a lot of nature around. Rooms are also nice, more space then I really need. Facilities in hotel are also OK, I didn't use sauna and swimming pool, but they were looking quite OK. Restaurant is as well on high level, can only recommend.

I really like this hotel, so there is nothing too much to say what was wrong. Getting cab/taxi there was a bit problematic (but that could be related to sports event in the city same weekend), and it is quite distance to major commute points, but this is nothing what hotel can do with.

Poor set menu for evening meal. We expected better for the price. Chef decided how steaks should be cooked, not us. They were definitely overcooked and very salty.

We were very happy with our stay.

The hotel is beautiful and was very easy to find after a long journey. Staff was ever so helpful and friendly. Our family room was spacious and clean.

There was no instant coffee in the room which was not refilled and the complementary bottle of water was already opened. There is extra charge for room service with added tax to the price.

Comfortably stay with touches of luxury in beautiful location.

Very comfortable room and facilities. Excellent breakfast, and delicious ( if expensive) dinner. Wonder, friendly and effective service from Maria. Highlight of stay was the sauna.

I was not happy to be charged ‘City tax’ and ‘Service charge’ by the hotel before leaving, when it clearly stated on ‘Booking ____’ that all taxes and fees were included.

Plenty of parking spots available. Check-in was fast and efficient, very friendly staff. Location is perfect if you are traveling with own transport (i.e. not is a busy city centre). Good restaurant/bar for a drink in the evening

Have stayed here a few times already. Nice big quiet hotel in nature. Enough free parking on site. Rooms are a good size and modern.

Evening temperature in the dining room was a bit chilly. Menu is getting expensive.
