The most disappointing hotel on our Albanian road trip

The room itself was looking kind of nice, everything was new, beds were good, air conditioning worked. Close to the sea, the view from the window was nice, with the exception of the awning posts flying around. It has great potential, if they get their issues fixed.

What they failed to tell was that the hotel was very much "in construction", to the point that there was no signage, not even the name of the hotel anywhere, the reception area was a construction zone and the receptionist worked off a laptop in the restaurant. Bits and pieces still missing in the bathroom and crooked electrical installations in the room. The awning support posts on the room terrace were not fixed to the floor in our room, so they were just flapping around in the wind (special feature of our room, others seemed to be fine, but our terrace was a bit different and the posts were not fixed). No shower curtain or any other water blocker, so the whole floor around the toilet was wet after showering. We spent a good time searching for the place, none of the people around in the restaurants or other hotels seemed to be able (or willing) to tell where this place was. The street off the main road down to the hotel/beach is super steep and the turning angle next to impossible to turn in one go, when approaching from the south. The "free public parking" was a joke, 3 places next to a shed with pieces falling off of it onto the cars. Not a fault of the hotel, but it was super windy when we were there (July 10, 2025) and I guess the sea level was high, waves were big and the beach strip was barely half of what's seen on the pictures. We had planned to stay there for the next day and enjoy the beach, but in reality we wanted to get away from there as quickly as possible.

Great location. Close enough to Vlore but very peaceful with beautiful clear water. Friendly restaurant staff, lovely breakfast, and really warm/pleasant housekeeping team.

A pleasant experience.

Breakfast is excellent with freshly made traditional pancakes being served by very polite & smiling staff. The property has access to a private beach making it very convenient if you have small children.

The location can be a bit difficult to find using google maps & also since there are quite a few resorts close by so makes it even more confusing.

Osoblje je fantasticno, dorucak vrlo dobar. Parking i lezaljke su ukljucene u cijenu. Lokacija je dobra.

Ovdje smo vec drugu godinu i hotel se i dalje renovira, to kao turist ne zelis vidjeti i kvari malo citav dojam.

Family holiday

We had a wonderful experience at this beachfront location, which felt like our own private beach. The property is family-owned and operated with a genuine touch. Vanessa, the young girl in charge, managed everything perfectly and provided exceptional service. The food was consistently fresh and delicious. Overall, it’s a fantastic place, and we look forward to visiting again.

Some parts of the hotel are under construction, but I am sure they will be completed soon.

Best place we have been living in Vlore. So nice hotel with amazing staff, the best breakfast buffe and the food at the restaurant is unforgettable. All the guys there were amazing and so helpful. It went so easy to park to check in and check out. I absolutely recommend this place.

The water was beautiful. Reef shoe's a must the pebbles are hard on your feet. But once your in the water, it was amazing. We had breakfast included and was very nice we were offered so much food.

Not happy!

The sea only.

Some restrictions that are not noted during the booking, but were a surprise as soon as we got there. The environment of the building was stressful because it was under construction, not safe for the kids and us. The behavior of the owner, attitude ☹️ ,restrictions on the use of electricity - AC 😮 windows In the room ( The owner said that he doesnt want to pay high electricity bills) 🙄. Strangely, coffee was not included in the breakfast, you had to pay extra, the water served in the breakfast was tap water, you had no right to use the sunbeds in the first row. In the end I also had problems with card payments, but they were overcome later. From my experience I'm sorry, but it was not the vacation I hoped, based on the photos I saw on booking.com The staff was good and respectfull!

Closeness to the beach. The hospitality and friendliness.

They don’t speak English (it’s possible to communicate with only 2 females). They don’t have enough parking spaces, and if you arrive on the weekend it’s gonna be hell find a parking spot.

The staff at hotel was more than friendly. On this place you will feel like at home. They are all times at your service.

Good hotel on the beautifull beach (on my opinion best place on all Albanian coast is Vlore coast)…Crystal clear sea…. Sunset on this beach and view from your own terrace are the best thing that can happen in your life….Food was excellent, especially sea food (we ate fish)….Staff for 10!!!

From the first to the last minute, our stay at Palmanova was perfect. With beautiful beach, perfect atmosphere, perfect view and beautiful sunsets... Family runned bussines makes this place comfy and cute. You have the feeling, like you are visiting your family. The service - excelent The food - excelent The rooms - comfy, clean, tidy and perfect The bed - very very comfortable The beach - dreamy beautiful The whole experience was "WOW" far beyond that we expected. I would recomend this place to people who don't like crowdy beaches, loud enviroment and just want to rest. Best for family vacations! This was our first stay, but surely not the last - we will be back next year.

It was great!!

The hotel room was very nice and comfy with a nice beach view from the balcony. Location was perfect as it was next to the beach. The staff were all so kind and nice to make you feel at home! Recommended🌟
