It was a lovely stay in the perfect location.

Lovely stoep with plenty of seating options. Excellent location. The air conditioning was great, and the bedrooms were spacious. The area was very quiet.

Lovely house, fantastic location, but attention to detail is needed.

Beautiful location, a very pretty house with a nice back patio. Loved the black cat who came to visit and the art.

The kitchen was grimy, the garden smelt overwhelming of cat pee, we are cat lovers but this was very strong. We were also short on towels. Attention to detail made me think the owners hadn’t been around for awhile. The alarm and WiFi were problematic. We never managed to stream on the tv.

Delightful, comfortable and clean

Art House is comfortable and has everything one needs for convenience. The verandah is lovely for warm evenings and the garden so pretty. The place was clean, the linen good and the considerate touches of essential condiments and toiletries were appreciated. It was easy to access the keys and within walking distance from the venue we were training at so the convenience was great. For shopping, uber/car is necessary.

Comfortable, good location, but lacking several basic items

Great proximity to trails, tastefully decorated, fireplace was very comfortable, owners were responsive and helpful.

Very minimal kitchen supplies and lack of basic items like salt and pepper or oil, measuring cups, etc. Several areas could really use a deep clean (mold present in bathrooms).

A really cosy spot, well appointed and located!

Very well located, we were able to stroll through the vineyards very nearby. Close to town, only 3 l’a or so. Cost tastefully decorated.

Just a (hopefully helpful) suggestion, because we loved the place. A few extra provisions would have been handy - milk ( even king life), cooking oil, firewood, firelighters and a lighter.

Superb stay! Home away from home

Our stay at the Art House was fantastic. Everything we needed was there to make our stay comfortable. The bedding was clean and comfortable and the house has a great relaxed atmosphere that made it feel like home away from home. We really enjoyed the coffee from the coffee machine (remember to bring additional coffee beans, it's worth it) and drank many cups of coffee while relaxing on the outside 'stoep'/patio with the view of the garden.We stayed at the Art House with small children. The front courtyard is safe and enclosed for them to play and the patio had enough space for our baby to walk around and explore, take note there is no railing and it is about 1m from the ground, but has nice big steps that take you down the patio to the garden courtyard. Have read reviews that say it is not a great place for small children, but I disagree, if you can keep an eye out for them while playing on the patio there's not a lot of danger. There is a water feature in the garden that attracts a baby like a magnet (babies love water....), but it's not big enough for a child to get into, so no risk other than getting wet when playing with the water. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet, no noise or traffic sounds and a great area to take a walk. It is on the outskirts of town but still close enough to get to Stellenbosch central quite quickly. Theresa was a great hostess, fulfilling all our requests and welcoming us warmly with a nice bottle of wine. Thank you so much! We will stay at Art House again.

Highly suited to three individuals requiring separate rooms. Coffee machine that makes expressos and cappuccinos was a great benefit including the coffee stocks there. Good air-conditioning and heating in each of the rooms.

This is a wonderful location and easy living house.

Location was great, getting the keys was simple and the house came with a book that explained all requirements, which was great.

It was a very cold house, especially for winter - simple things like carpets in the bedrooms would have helped and made things more luxurious or welcoming. The outside lights were also not working and some lights in the rooms were temperamental so would have been nice to have been checked prior to our arrival.
