Amazing and Satisfied.

Had an excellent stay and experience at Lauradale. Special mention to Anna, who was really responsive for all my queries after I did my booking and very hospitable during our stay. We were welcomed at the accommodation by Ahmed, who was really wonderful and friendly. There is safe parking area inside the accommodation. The views were spectacular and the breakfast was too good. The also cater Halal Breakfast which was really amazing. Highly recommend.

Superb stay in Stellenbosch

Such a wonderful place to stay. Great views and surroundings. Really enjoyed the daily breakfast. And Anna was so lovely and helpful. The staff are amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

My only complaint, and this was my own fault, is that we should have upgraded to a larger room! We had one of the smaller rooms but would have loved more space.

The other guests were allowed to party until 02:00am... emergency numbers don't get answered when you call them.... receptionist gets overwhelmed by person in charge... she couldn't exercise her job as she's over powered by owners...

Pleasant and enjoyable stay at Lauradale

Everything it was clean and very comfortable the shower was very pleasant. Anna is a super host, very friendly and helpfull. The bonus was that we could have firewood delivered, and the next morning the braai was cleaned and ready to be used again. The service is excellent.

The breakfast tasted good. I just think they need more variation on the menu. Especially for people spending more time there. I can’t imagine eating the same breakfast for 3 or more day consistently. The dining area is small.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The likes and dislikes are shared above.

On arrival Anna made us very welcome, explained everything in detail, showed us to our room and again explained everything. On departure she also wanted to know about our experience of staying at Lauradale. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast excellent. The view from the dining room is very relaxing. The pools were clean.

The view from our room was very poor, looked out onto brush and scrub. Compared to other rooms higher up which looked out over the valley. Only one of the two lights in the shower / toilet room worked which we made Anna aware of. We were out most of the time so the view from the room was not a big deal.

Excellent Stay

We stayed here for a weekend and this was by far the best property we visited during our trip. The place is extremely clean, very well maintained, and everything is perfectly organized. Anna, who assisted us, was incredibly friendly, and Ahmad at the reception was very helpful, they made sure we had a relaxed and pleasant stay. The booking process was excellent too; the team was very attentive and responded quickly to all our queries. The property feels extremely safe, with a solid security system and convenient remote gate access. Overall, an easy 5-star experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Stellenbosch.

You can do a lot better at this price point in the Stellenbosch area

Location is good

We were initially placed in an upstairs room in the main house which also shares a space with the reception and the kitchen. The fittings were really old and in need of replacing. The room is not sound proof as you can hear the reception and the kitchen. The room actually looks like spillover accommodation for live in staff as opposed to being intended for guests. The host kindly then did put us in one of the cottages at the bottom of the property, but this unit was actually due for revamp and was missing some appliances and cutlery and was also in dire need of a refresh with water damage apparent everywhere. Granted, we did not see the accommodation around the pool area which could have been fantastic, but my opinion is that no one should be offered the upstairs room in the first place, it is not acceptable to put guests in. I would not return for fear of ending up in the same room.

It was a lovely farmstyle stay! We had a relaxing bbq on the stoep. Anna did her best to make us feel welcome and served us a special breakfast.

Luxury with a view

The view is gorgeous and the pool divine. Will need to go back during the warmer days to experience it, though. The Shower is pure bliss! And the bed was really comfy. Of course, breakfast with a view was the cherry on top.

Very nice personnel. They accomodated our dietary requirements. The place was clean and comfy. UBER works there in case you want to visit the town or nearby wineries.

Peaceful farm stay

Lovely appartment, modern and clean. Very comfy bed, a nice fireplace and a lovely view over rolling hills. Lovely and welcoming staff, especially breakfast staff. The fresh fruit salad was especially appreciated and the extra firewood we asked for

open shower in the bedroom (brings too much mist into bedroom and humidity) and no refill of coffee, milk and tea the second day unfortunately. And there are no shops nearby so you do need a car or call a raxi for anything

Fine for one night but wouldn’t recommend or return

Lovely night staff member and great breakfast. Rooms were dated and not very clean. Lots of mosquitoes. We had no power for the entirety of our stay. We used torches to see around the room and had cold showers, no tv, no charging points, no kitchen use etc. This was an issue in the area but a generator or something should have been used for guests. We paid to stay in darkness without the use of basic facilities

10/10 is not enough, I’d rather say 15/10. Anna made sure our stay is as much comfortable as it can possibly get. She truly cares about her guests and we enjoyed chatting with her about life in SA - this place feels like home especially because of her. The view. Pool. Room. Breakfast. Everything is simply perfect. It is very quiet place with mesmerising views and delicious breakfast is being served in the room with once again unbelievable views. If we ever come back to SA we will come back here for sure. Thank you for your amazing hospitality.
