Recommend highly, esp for Boomer generation.

Outstanding breakfast in quiet pleasant location. The homemade apple cider was fabulous. Host was knowledgable, accommodating, and hospitable. He quickly identified my Uncle’s WWII military unit which was a mystery to my family.

If you use a facial washcloth you may want to bring your own along with body soap. Some confusion when we arrived as hosts were in back garden.

A wonderful little hotel in Lutrebois

This nice, family run hotel is located in the south of Bastogne. Excellent location for hiking and visiting the wonderful museums in Bastogne. Marc, the owner, and his family are very kind people. He is very helpful. The place is super clean. The rooms are cosy and comfortable.

A nice historical experience.

If you are a World War 2 Enthusiast, this is probably one of the best place to stay in Bastogne. My host Marc was friendly and welcoming. He is also a History teacher and knows a lot about the Battle of Bulge. He guided me to n how to best visit the places of historical importance around the town. You will also find many World War 2 artifacts on display inside the house. A good breakfast and a nice family atmosphere. The room was spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds.

The location is a bit remote, however that was not much of an issue for me as I have a car. However if you want to go out and explore the area after sunset, it could get pretty lonely.

Rooms were exceptionally clean, beds were very comfortable. Location was great. Very knowledgeable about historical places in the area that we wanted to visit. What meant the most to us, Marc waiting up for our late arrival. My husband's favorite place we stayed while in Europe.

Mixed feelings about our stay at Santa Fe

Early every morning the owner went to the bakery to get us very nice fresh croissants and rolls.

Except for breakfast, we didn't feel very welcome, almost as if it wasn't convenient for the owner to have us there during that time.

Quiet setting, very knowledgeable owner

The location in the small quiet village is nice, surrounded by the large trees and sounds of the nearby cows was comforting. Reminded me of home. Better for us than staying in the city nearby. The bed was VERY comfortable ( this is not too common in Europe), fresh towels and the shower and bathroom were remodeled and clean. Marc added eggs to the breakfast offering for us and we really appreciated that because our toddler girls eat a lot in the mornings! Marc shared tips on what to do and see in the area and has a lot of knowledge with his background in history and being from the area.

We were traveling with our two small children and the description of the “family room” could be more accurately described I felt. It is actually two totally separate rooms that are across a small doorway from one another. If you have small children like we do this is a little hard to navigate but if your children are older wouldn’t be a big deal. We ended up putting a parent in each room with a child. #romancebuzzkill. In the room with the en suite bathroom There isn’t a door separating the bathroom from the bedroom which with little kids who cares but it could potentially be a little awkward if families practice more privacy then we do with our know no boundry rug rats. There is a large staircase right outside the family room doors too so if you have little ones who can’t do stairs it’s even more nerve wrecking. In general I’d say this isn’t a great place with families with little kids. Marc the owner is kind but it’s a quiet location with quiet guests in just a few other rooms of the B&B and little kids, at least ours, are LOUD! Due to COVID breakfast selection was more limited than usual so bring snacks if you’re traveling with kids.

Het huis is mooi, ruim en rustig gelegen, op ongeveer tien minuten van Bastogne. In de keuken is een klein museum ingericht rond de oorlogsgeschiedenis, wat een interessante en unieke toevoeging is. De kamers zijn eerder klein en basic, maar netjes. Voor het huis is parkeergelegenheid voor ongeveer vier auto’s, wat erg handig is. De ligging is bovendien erg rustig, ideaal om tot ontspanning te komen.

Het verblijf was over het algemeen in orde, maar er waren enkele punten die het comfort verminderden. De kamer was vrij koud, ondanks dat de verwarming volledig open stond. ’s Nachts werd deze zelfs uitgezet, wat in de winterperiode niet prettig is. De badkamer was slechts afgescheiden met een gordijn, wat weinig privacy gaf. Het ontbijt was vrij basic en werd samen met andere gasten geserveerd, wat wij persoonlijk wat ongemakkelijk vonden. We hadden wel het geluk dat de andere gasten Nederlanders waren, waardoor er toch een aangenaam gesprek ontstond tijdens het ontbijt.

Classica abitazione del luogo, pulita e ordinata. Contiene cimeli storici della guerra creando un'atmosfera particolare in linea con quella di Bastogne. Host disponibile, parla inglese.

Eenvoudige maar aangename B&B in een mooie en rustige omgeving.

We hadden een aangenaam verblijf in deze B&B. Marc is een hartelijke gastheer en geeft goede tips. De omgeving is rustig en landelijk. De accomodatie is eenvoudig maar prima in orde. Ook het ontbijt is basic maar voldoende en lekker: koffie en thee, een croissant, brood met hartig en zoet beleg.

Magnifique séjour à Bastogne

Tout était parfait, du début à la fin ! L'hôte est charmant, gentil et aux petits soins avec les clients. Un endroit au top, la chambre était très propre et agréable. Le petit-déjeuner très bon et varié. Ce fut un magnifique séjour à Bastogne pour nous ! Et surtout, un séjour sauvé grâce au Santa Fe Lutrebois ! Nous étions ravis d'y séjourner et nous recommandons cet endroit à 100%
