Amazing B&B Overlooking the Town

The property is on a hillside overlooking the town in the valley. A simply amazing view!!! The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and always more than we could eat. The host is sweet and gracious.

Nature walk

Houffalize is not that big and the establishment is close to the center (around 10 min walk) and a supermarket (around 5 min walk). It's on the path of multiple trails and close to the start of others. The rooms are cozy and warm with very clean bathrooms.

Perfect location with comfortable beds

We stayed for 1 night in B&B Pittoresque and we enjoyed it very much. Very friendly hostess who brought us to the La Chouffe brewery because we had no transportation (only bikes). Very clean B&B with comfortable beds! I definitely recommend this B&B for a stay in Houffalize!

Gorgeous view from our room over Houffalize! The breakfast was delicieus with lots of variety.

Infrastructure is outdated because of single wall glass and creeky floor.

Fijne plek, lieve gastvrouw. Mooi uitzicht!

Super ontbijt (gelijk genoeg voor de hele dag!) Hele lieve gastvrouw, fijn bed, mooie locatie, prachtig uitzicht. Fijne badkamer. Dolce gusto apparaat op kamer was fijn! Top!

De wc op de gang was gedeeld met anderen en erg koud. De kamer werd verwarmd met een gaskachel wat met een kind opletten was. Het was wat gehorig. Maar voor de prijs mogen we eigenlijk niet klagen 😉

Les matelas glissent et ne tiennent pas sur le sommier, ce qui n'est pas très confortable surtout pour un couple. Le mur derrière les lits est trempé tellement c'est humide

Alles verliep naar wens, geen opmerkingen. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw en een heerlijke rustgevende locatie.

Prijs/kwaliteit was ok.

zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw. ligging: dicht bij het centrum De kamer was wel ok, basic maar heel goed bed. Ontbijt was basic, maar lekker en voldoende.

Om aan de B&B te geraken moet je stevig klimmen en veel trappen doen, deze waren zelfs niet verlicht. Eenmaal boven, weeral trappen tot de eerste verdieping waar de kamers zijn. We hadden een kamer met aparte badkamer. Daar hing een zeer onaangename geur. Het IR-verwarmingstoestelletje is onvoldoende om de kamer op te warmen. De andere twee kamers (met eigen badkamer) zijn echter wel ok.

Opzich een prima verblijf maar wel prijzig voor wat je krijgt.

De locatie is perfect gelegen in het charmante dorpje. Prima ontbijt en aardige gastvrouw.

Het interieur was matig. Erg oude spullen en de gezamenlijke toilet rook erg naar afvoer/riool. Het was verder schoon, maar duidelijk een luchtlek in de afvoerpijp. Erg onaangenaam.

Uitstekend!

Heerlijk verblijf in het hart van Houffalize! De kamers zijn gezellig en kraaknet, met zeer comfortabele bedden. Het onthaal was ongelooflijk vriendelijk en hartelijk. Vanuit het verblijf heb je een prachtig uitzicht over Houffalize tegelijk ben je op enkele stappen van het centrum. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd – we hebben volop genoten van de centrale ligging en de fijne sfeer. Zeker een aanrader!

Séjour très décevant.

Rien, J'aurai dû tenir compte des commentaires concernant l'hebergement.

L’hébergement est totalement inadapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Il faut gravir de nombreux escaliers raides avant d’arriver à l’hébergement. Aucun parking privatif n’est disponible. La salle de bain ne comporte pas de toilettes : il faut se rendre sur le palier, ce qui est peu pratique. La porte de cette toilette ne dispose pas de clé, et une forte odeur de fosse septique s’y fait sentir. Dans la salle d’eau, l’évier est un simple lave-mains, rendant même le brossage des dents difficile. L’humidité ambiante dégage une odeur de moisi persistante. Concernant la douche, l’eau chaude s’est coupée après quelques secondes, juste le temps de se mouiller. Le chauffage est assuré par des convecteurs au gaz. Peu pratique et peu sécure. Les châssis sont en simple vitrage et leurs rénovation en profondeur est indispensable. Le petit déjeuner est très basique et pourrait clairement être amélioré. En résumé, le tarif est bien trop élevé au regard de la qualité des prestations, et la note affichée sur Booking ne reflète absolument pas la réalité.

De wc stonk, niet schoongemaakt denk ik. Het warmwater dan weer warm dan weer koud. Niet te regelen. En een piepklein wasbakje. Erg onhandig. Geen ventilatie in wc en badkamer. Buiten in deplorabele staat van onderhoud. Een beetje op z’n Belgisch..

De ligging vd locatie is fantastisch... alles op loopafstand en de eigenaresse Nathalie kan je alles vertellen over de omgeving... Je wordt iedere ochtend verwend met een uitgebreid ontbijt en een vrolijke lach... Een plek om terug te komen...

Agréable séjour à Houffalize dans un sympathique B&B

Très bon accueil, Nathalie est une hotesse attentionnée et sympathique. Le B&B est bien situé, au calme et à 5 minutes à pied du centre. Quelques fauteuils de jardin permettent de profiter des derniers rayons du soleil en fin de journée. Un petit déjeuner est servi dès 7h30 (ce qui est appréciable pour les marcheurs voulant découvrir cette belle région en profitant d'une longue journée) et tout ce qui est servi peut être consommé ou emporté, p.ex pour le picnic du midi.

Voici quelques suggestions d'améliorations: * les chiens devraient être maintenus à part et pas en contact avec les clients * un peu de variété dans le petit déjeuner (un fromage local, quelques céréales, ...) serait un plus * la douche pourrait être améliorée avec un distributeur de savon et des vannes thermostatiques (il y a de l'eau bien chaude et en suffisance mais les variations de température sont un peu gânantes)

De host was ontzettend lief en sociaal. De ligging was perfect. Zeer centraal maar net buiten de drukte.

Was een flinke klim om bij het huis te komen. Maar dubbel en dwars waard voor het uitzicht.

Rustig vertoeven in het mooie Houffalize, met een super lieve uitbaatster!

Nathalie was echt zo vriendelijk! Ze straalde een enorme hartelijkheid uit, was zeer tegemoetkomend en hielp ons met het bepalen van een leuke wandelroute. We zouden zo bij haar teruggaan!

De douche liep niet zo heel goed weg, waardoor het water wat bleef staan. Daardoor liep de bak op bepaald moment over en moesten we even wachten voor we verder konden douchen. Maar verder was alles echt proper en waren alle faciliteiten voorzien!

Super fijn!

Prachtige locatie! Nathalie is een leuke enthousiaste gastvrouw die ons tips gaf om de omgeving te verkennen. Je kunt daar op meerdere terrassen buiten zitten met een prachtig uitzicht op het stadje. Het ontbijt is heel royaal en kun je er zelfs een lunchpakket van meekrijgen.

Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Fietsen konden we achterom veilig parkeren. Fijne kamer met goede douche. Perfect verzorgd ontbijt en lunchzakje mee. Mooi uitzicht.

Kleine wasbak om snel iets uit te wassen of om te spoelen. Geen aparte wc.
