Nowhere near the positive experience seemingly had by others

The accommodation is pretty and the area pleasant. The bathroom and beds were clean and there was a good selection of beers in the bar. The host kindly offered us some tinned food when we arrived in the evening, as there was nowhere nearby to buy groceries. The cheese shop nearby has a good selection of cheeses (but very limited opening hours). It's possible to walk to the Chouffe brewery in around 30 minutes.

The main issue we had, and one that means we would never recommend this place to anyone, is that there is no door to the en-suite bathroom. Therefore you have very little privacy while using the toilet and it's really impractical considering sound and smells would travel into the room. Luckily there was a separate, shared bathroom, leading into the kitchen, that we used, but that's far from ideal if there are other guests staying there at the same time. The room is quite dark and thus damp. Our towels were still wet the next day and some of our clothes got damp. There is also a strong damp smell in the kitchen cupboards. Although the host was polite, overall we didn't feel particularly welcome, perhaps because we were the only guests at the time. It seemed that our breakfast consisted to some extent of the host's leftovers, including a half slice of ham that got progressively smaller each day, only one pain au chocolat for two of us, and the same slices of stale bread making an appearance every morning. The coffee was barely enough for both of us and the eggs and bacon, although delicious, were rather sparse with only one egg and one rasher of bacon for each of us.

Loved the honesty/trust aspect of the bar and games room (pool/darts/sauna). Lots of facilities to cook if you wanted to.

The only negative was the wifi that didn't reach our room.

A pleasant place to spend few days wondering around the countryside.

A nice place in a quiet village in the countryside. Pleasant and comfortable room with good breakfast included. Quite affordable price as well. Location is perfect for hiking and / or cycling in the surrounding countryside.

Probably reachable only with your own transport.

Ik was al eind september geweest en ging nu terug met een vriendin omdat ik tevreden was, toen. Maar deze keer is mijn verblijf in mineur geëindigd 😞 We waren de enigste gasten in de B&B dat weekend. We krijgen zaterdag ons ontbijt met assortiment aan boterhammen en pistolets die op tafel worden klaargezet ook mand met fruit Er wordt ons ook een eitje aangeboden, tot hier alles prima. Ik vraag een plastiek zakje voor brokken en eten mee te kunnen nemen voor mijn hond die ik bij had want ik was een bewaardoosje vergeten mee te nemen. We nuttigen ons ontbijt ruim binnen de tijd van het ontbijt tijd, en eten alle broodjes op, inclusief de eitjes en wat fruit. Toen ik achter een plastiek zakje vroeg werden er extra wafels en andere op tafel gebracht en werd er niets bij vermeld Deze bleven dan ook onaangeroerd. Op zondag ochtend bij vertrek kregen we weer ontbijt, enkel 1 croissant, 1 chocolade broodje en 1 rozijnenkoek en ook nog pistolets 3 stuks 1 van elk soort. Geen eitje meer op zondag 😟 Toen we echt vertrokken werd er ons gevraagd om 9€ /persoon bij te betalen voor het « lunchpakket » en plastiek zakje van de zaterdag omdat alle broodjes en wat fruit en eitje die op het moment dat we aan tafel zaten gegeten waren. Dit begrijp ik niet, vind ik niet kunnen en als er bijkomende kosten worden aangerekend moeten die op het moment zelf gevraagd maar vooral duidelijk gecommuniceerd worden, misschien zelfs ergens vermeld staan. Die 18€ heb ik niet betaald omdat we enkel tijdens ontbijt hebben gegeten. En geen lunchpakket mee hadden genomen. Op zondagochtend heeft de vriendin die mee was, moeten laten zien dat de bananen schil wel degelijk in de vuilbak lag en dus ter plaatse was genuttigd. Bovendien hebben we gebruik gemaakt van de faciliteit van de infrarood cabine. Waar de ruimte absoluut niet verwarmd was en dus als zeer onaangenaam ervaren.

Accueil chaleureux. Bon petit déjeuner. Équipement collectif varié: sauna infrarouge, salle de sport, billard....gentille attention pour le chien ( bol, biscuit..)

Excelente lugar en la naturaleza

Su dueña nos recibió rápidamente a pesar de que fue una reserva improvisada porque estábamos cansados de viajar y decidimos parar a descansar. La casa es súper bonita, cuidado con mucho gusto. Tiene una cocina/comedor enorme con todo lo necesario para que puedas cocinar tu propia comida o desayunar ese magnífico desayuno que te sirven. Nuestra perrita también tuvo su premio y le pusieron cuenco de agua. Tiene billar, sauna, mini bar….. El sitio es ideal

Amazing ghesthouse

Les aménagements sont très sympa sut le theme du velo avec de grands espaces communs bien aménagé, pour tous les goûts. Je voyageais avec un chien pour faire des randonnées en partant le matin avant les heures du petit-déjeuner mais tout était préparé. Possibilité de réchauffer ou de cuisiner quelque chose. Merci

Rien... juste un point d'attention. Toutes les chambres ne peuvent pas accueillir les chiens (parquet au sol). Perso ça n'a pas posé de probleme mais je voyage toujours avec une cage ou il peut dormir au cas où. Pensez a confirmer avec l'hôte avant.

Ontvangst slecht, niet duidelijk en onvriendelijk. Ontbijt zelf te zoeken in frigo en kast. Bizar en vervelend. Te laat personeel. Te weinig keuze aan beleg. Drank in frigo 5 maanden over data. Bij opmerking geen aanpassing. 🥺
