A fun and informal place to stay !

What a gem, only booked the night before as I was motorcycle touring and it's tough to know exactly where you'll end up. Ted, the host was very welcoming and as a bonus there were some other Dutch bikers who were also staying, they were very friendly and we had a fun evening together quite unexpectedly. I was particularly thankful for the beer fridge, a cold one was exactly what I needed after a day on the road. Home cooked breakfast was excellent.

B&B Houffalize: solid foundation for your holiday with warm hospitality and good food.

The breakfast was really, really nice. Our host was definitely in for a chat and went out of his way to supply us with a great holiday morning feeling. Felt kind of heavy on the stomach, but that was down to us Dutchies usually just breaking the day with solely sandwiches. Let yourself be surprised! Personally we felt like the garden next to the house could use a little work for atmosphere, but it's most definitely large and we were happy to be allowed to use it in the summer evening. The shower, cleanliness and silence were both great, we were happy with that. The 2 wifi networks existed but were quite slow, so we decided to stay in and watch on our own laptop through Netflix on the data plan. It's a reasonably quiet environment and town closeby, but with the hospitality of B&B Houffalize this is a nice place to recover from busy cities. Thanks for the stay!

The garden outside and ventilation inside could be a little better we felt, maybe add some mosquito screens to keep the flying wildlife outside. Wifi and garden would be nice to see improve, also we didn't know how to use the TV downstairs. It's just details, the main stay is up to standard.

Great B&B, even better hospitality

The owner is absolutely lovely, we felt really invited from the start. The location and facilities are also very nice, pool table and fridge full of beers. Rooms were perhaps a bit simple, but definitely nothing to complain about. Had the best breakfast and dinner I've had in a while here.

Teddy was an excellent host and you certainly will not starve under his care. His homemade croissants at breakfast are exceptional and his dinners are superb. Teddy is a trained French chef and customers come to this B&B just for dinner. I highly recommend his Belgian waffles, apple cake, and tart tatin which he showed me how to make the night before I left. Teddy speaks multiple languages--to include English, French, and Dutch--so even an American like me had no trouble feeling comfortable under his wonderful care.

There wasn't a thing I didn't like about Teddy's.

Extra costs for services (drinks) on premises were pricy (compared to prices in bars). Beds were very small. Breakfast was just ok (very sweet, no fresh breads, fruits etc like offered in other places).

Amazing last-minute stay

We booked a room for 2 on the day of arrival, but we were received amazingly even on short notice. Ted is a great and friendly host, and the room was bigger than expected. A lot of room and very beautiful looking. It was also clean and light. The breakfast was very tasteful and we were very comfortable during our stay. And the location is beautiful! We very much enjoyed this B&B and would love to go again.

We got an amazing reception from the host. Very kind and friendly. We felt Immediately at home. The host really puts his full effort in giving you the best experience possible. He also cooks great food. (if not the best)

Niet zeuren en gewoon lekker genieten.

TED verstaat zijn vak, is een proffessionele duizendpoot. Leuk en gezellig. Muziekje erbij. Respect! Verrukkelijk diner dat zijn geld waard was.

De kamer zonder uitzicht( verwachting was er) en een geur in de kamer waar ik me moeilijk van kon distantiëren vonden we te duur. Het smalle bed lag wel goed.

Ideale B&B voor onze groep mannen. Relaxte gastheer, die ook voor een 4-gangendiner zorgde, koelkast vol bier, poolbiljart. Lekker ontbijt met gebakken ei en pannenkoekjes.

Bed was wat smal en zacht. Geen keuze in ontbijtmoment (8.00 uur stond vast).

Leuk verblijf met persoonlijk contact en gastvrijheid

Ted was zeer gastvrij, Het diner was zeer goed prijs-kwaliteit, het ontbijt was goed. De ligging was goed, dicht bij het centrum. Perfect voor groepen

Wifi ontvangst in mijn kamer was bijna onbestaande. Voor een groot persoon als ik was het enkele bedje wat kort en klein, niet echt mogelijkheid om de bedden samen te zetten.

Je recommande vivement - lieu typique, hôte chaleureux, cuisine exceptionnelle

Petit déjeuner copieux (pancake, oeuf, toast, croissant, jus d'orange, café, confiture). Mais surtout n'hésitez pas à partager la table d'hôtes. La cuisine est fabuleuse pour un rapport qualité / prix fort appréciable (37 euros pour entrée (terrine), soupe (bisque), plat (tagliata de boeuf, sauce poivre, gratin dauphinois et épis de maïs) et dessert (tarte tatin et crème anglaise)...Le tout fait maison....
