A pleasant Belgian-style stay

A small cosy hotel in a very nice surrounding. There is a parking lot just outside. The room was spacious, with a nice bathroom featuring both a bathtub and a shower. A great spa zone with sauna, hammam, and a massage pool. An excellent breakfast with rich selection. Altough at the moment of booking it looked like the breakfast would be at a charge, in reality is was included.

The room seemed a bit too vast and empty. It would be great to have a rug or another piece of furniture (a chaise-longe?) to make it feel more at home. It would also be great to extend the spa zone opening hours at least to 10pm.

Comfortable stay in the heart of Houffalize

We had a very pleasant stay at Hôtel du Commerce. The location is excellent, right in the center of town, which made it easy to explore the local shops, cafés, and attractions. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, always ready with a smile and useful tips. Our room was clean and spacious, with everything we needed for a short stay. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the quiet atmosphere at night despite being in such a central location. Breakfast was great, fresh and a nice start to the day. Overall, Hôtel du Commerce is a great choice if you’re looking for good value, convenience, and friendly service. We would happily stay again.

Grand Prix Weekend

-There was a good range of food to eat during breakfast and there was something for everyone. -During the evening the hotel's restaurant offered good food and drink. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. -The room was large and there was plenty of room. -The spa facilities were good and there was free parking on site. -The hotel was in a good location and there was plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Lovely hotel in an area where you can do many outdoor activities: Walking, cycling, running etc.

Nice breakfast, lots of choice. Hotel room was clean and spacious, we had an upgrade to the ''deluxe'' room. No balcony. Many options for outdoor activities in the area.

Food in brasserie is very good but a bit expensive.

Great location for a stay in Houffalize

Great location in the centre. The breakfast was really good.

Rooms were a bit dated and no indoor bar/lounge area. Unfortunately very noisy guests with screaming and doors slamming which was a shame.

Beautiful stay. They took care of us.

We stayed for a long weekend with the half board package and were very well taken care of. The buffet breakfast was good though if you got there late, tough luck. The dinners were good, though there weren't options to choose from which was unexpected. The town and surrounding forest was so charming and lovely, and besides a spot of bad weather, we had an excellent trip. Absolutely would come again.

Some noise from other rooms, not having even a couple of options to choose from with dinner.

Good stay in Houffalize

Friendly staff, room had a lot of space. You can bring a dog. There is a restaurant in the hotel and you automatically get a table reserved for you. That's good service.

The room looked clean in the beginning, but I accidentally spilled some water and used a towel to clean it up. The towel was brown all over. They should wet clean the floor more often. Not a big issue for me and I don't have a comparison to other hotels where I haven't done this before.

Nice and cosy hotel in a nice location. Super friendly staff. Recommended.

breakfast was excellent, including sparkling wine. Nice selection of breads, coldcuts, etc. Bacon, eggs, granolas, yoghurt, all the stuff you expect in a 4 star hotel breakfast. Dinner was excellent. I had the Grey shrimp croquets that were excellent, and the Italian Steak which was fabulous!! Highly recommended. I took a nice bottle of Montepulciano d' Abruzzo which was excellent value for money.

The bathroom was a little dated and could use a little freshening up. Everything was very clean, it's just that it showed wear and tear, especially in the shower, which is a little unfortunate. The room was correct and clean, but the bathroom was in my opinion not 4* level. I have to admit I took the basic room, but that shouldn't matter, in the sense that it is still a 4* hotel.

Dog friendly, bar and restaurant on site, free parking at the hotel, lift to all floors, excellent breakfast. The room TV had English channels.

Net curtains in room 218 were filthy, the room temperature was low and could not be controlled by guests, and the water in the shower was lukewarm - we reported this to reception but there was no improvement.

Superb

Front desk staff and breakfast staff were wonderful and helpful. Of special note, they arranged an early breakfast for us ahead of our hike. Excellent breakfast each morning. Some of the best fresh breads and granola I've had. Hotel is centrally located with plenty of eating and drinking options near by.

Most of the staff, including the restaurant staff understood very little English, except the lady at check in. She was wonderful! Bathroom needed updating & repair of grouting. No safety bars in very narrow European tub/shower. Could have used softer pillows & duvet; they were too bulky & hard/lumpy.

Both the room (superior room) and bathroom were clean, but outdated and in need of refurbishment Room facing the inner courtyard offered no view and was gloomy Soft pillows combined with a hard bed not ideal for sleeping
