Pleasant and knowable staff. Lovely clean space and high quality amenities.

Lovely historic, well tended building. But it has modern facilities and a really high quality restaurant.

The seats at the bar were really uncomfortable. They slant forward and hard to sit in.

Fancy and convenient!

Location and rooftop bar were great! Valet service was quick and courteous. Free drink tickets for the bar were a nice touch!

Some of the guests were snooty! Some bar staff were not friendly.

The Oaklander was a wonderful surprise!

I don't remember why I picked this hotel for an overnight after seeing Fallingwater. It's not central. What was I thinking! But it turned out to be our favorite place of our vacation. Clean, attractive, nice location, efficient service, good people. They rolled our room service in on a table, like in the movies, instead of handing you a dish at the door like most places. We also ate in the restaurant which had good service, good food and a pleasant atmosphere. One employee bragged to us about the many celebrities that have stayed there over the years--maybe it is the go-to place for people in the know?

Would have preferred a breakfast buffet. Entry is weird, through a side door of the garage, access via an elevator (two in theory, but usually one was absent for some reason).

Unfortunately Lacks True Cleanliness

The restaurant food was of fine hotel quality. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and kind.

The floor was covered in hair and debris. The bedding was unkept and there was significant dander and dust in the telephone. While most common surfaces seemed to be clean (vanity, desk, etc.), deep cleaning is not at all their strong suit. I cleaned what I believe to be dried vomit and urine off the lavatory door, wiped down door surfaces that had stains, etc. The management has yet to reach out and I was only given a 20 dollar credit toward room service and free microwave/mini-fridge (which costs 20 per day!! not complimentary!) in response. The halls and elevatory smelled significantly of cologne or heavy fragrance, so I would not recommend this place to anyone with chemical sensitivity issues. I was unable to address these issues immediately upon arrival due to a variety of factors and my complaints have yet to reach management.

Great hotel for a college campus

Location was perfect for a weekend at U of Pitt. Valet parking was huge, not having to worry about parking was a big help. Room was very clean, bed was very comfy.

The coffee machine, Nespresso is too strong. We just wanted regular coffee.

Ok place... not worth the money

The location was perfect

It was surface clean... not really clean. When sitting on the couch, you could see the dirt around the bed and walls. They don't vacuum well. I know it's hard to keep up with room turnovers, but for the money they are charging, I expect CLEAN!

our stay was exceptional, given the price Id expect a cleaner a restroom and shower space.

We loved almost everything about this property.

The super strong smells pumped in caused me and my one friend headaches most of our stay, every time we would walk through the halls both our heads started pounding, sometimes a lack a smell is better then a "punch you in the face" smell. Also, the shower door didn't fully close, the handle would pop off when you went to open it, we just popped it back on each time, the shower had a suspicious black slime growing in the corners, lastly of toilet cam "pre clogged, which we called the front desk about and had a wonderful engineer come and took care of almost immediately. Lastly textured wall paper in the bathroom area is a choice, it was beautiful and caught the light around the mirror but upon closer inspection there seemed to be suspicious stains all around, it was honestly the first thing I noticed using the restroom, moments after checking in so I know it wasn't from me or my party.

Concierge staff were great, some bar staff ok others grumpy. A couple of the waitresses were very good

Very nice hotel!

Perfect location in a safe area. Very clean and pet friendly. They also provide valet parking or you can park across the street for a cheaper price. Breakfast was delicious at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and ready to assist with any issues.

The only odd thing was that the receptionist was located at the 10th floor of the hotel not when you walk in.

I would stay somewhere else

We had a corner room which was spacious and clean. Location is nice.

Super noisy air conditioning, as in, not being able to sleep kind of noisy. Staff are very nice or extremely curt. Email enquiries sent before the stay were never responded. Incredibly odd billing, with daily charges instead of one charge, which will take me actual effort to check in terms of accuracy. Frankly, too many things, and not even the free late check out made out for it.

Location and cleanliness of the room was amazing. I loved loved loved everything about it. From the service the concierge and front desk provided to the comfiness of the bed and the size of the shower. Would definitely stay there again!

Breakfast was eh did order room service and dined at the restaurant the morning of check out due to convenience. Not terrible, but not delicious. The seasoning was bland, food was brought out at room temperature not piping hot. Definitely ate it because I was hungry, but if you are going to charge those prices please have a vegan/non port meat option other than chicken and the food should at least be fresh not warm pancakes.

they seem to have lost our res so we had a handicapped room near the elevator breakfast on site wasn’t good and staff were overwhelmed and so service was slow but people were pleasant and friendly

Room service and support at the reception not a the level of the hotel. A lot is lucking from customer care perspective. Calling and getting someone from room service or operator to answer was a challenge.
