Manoleva House is a true authentic Melnik expeirence, and we feel fortunate to of stayed in this fantastic house!.

This was a fantastic stay, and in my view the number one place to stay in Melnik! The hospitality of the staff was first class, with the host being very welcoming, with consist great recommendations. The rooms were very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! We can’t wait to come back!

Manoleva House is an absolute jewel, a beautiful, peaceful and hospitable property that matches the charms of traditional accommodations with the comfort and cleanliness of modern homes. The staff was extremely kind and the breakfast is magnificent. It is located right next to Kordopoulova House, one of the main attractions of Melnik. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful location with wonderful country hospitality

We loved the traditional style building and our host was most welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect for us - not too close to all the noise and not too far from all the restaurants.

The room was a bit small but it was clean and quiet.

Our stay was wonderful! The hosts were lovely and very helpful with any requests. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room. The view is breathtaking and homemade breakfast is delicious.

Beautiful accommodation with lovely hosts

Margarita and her son Iliya were fabulous hosts. Margarita was prompt to respond on WhatsApp and so helpful. She gave me brilliant information on what to do in town, including the most wonderful sunrise hikes to the monastery and fortress with incredible views of the sandstone Earth Pyramids. She also helped me arrange the bus to Sofia. Amazing delicious breakfast with fresh fruit platters and options of homemade mekitsi or omelettes. Lovely shared space and patio with view. Beautifully clean and stylish property. This is located at the top of the town and very convenient to the Shestaka winery and Kordopulov House - both 20 meters away. It was 38 degrees the days I was there and I appreciated being able to enjoy some wines in the cool cave on such a hot day.

The water drain in the bathroom is situated so the water still covers much of the floor.

Nothing too much trouble

Very comfortable suite with nice balcony with great views. Margarita, her son and husband looked after us so well and made us feel very welcome. Delicious breakfast in delightful surroundings.

Leaving. However anyone with any mobility issues should be aware that here is a bit of a climb to get to the property although we are in our late seventies and managed perfectly well.

Fantastic place to stay, strongly recommend it.

The location of the house is fantastic, it has a great panoramic view over Melnik and we thought it is the best house in the whole city. Margarita was simply superb host - really friendly, responsive, and takes fantastic care of her guests. The breakfast was homemade and traditional for Bulgaria and really tasty (also the portions were huge). The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the AC helps in the hot summer months. The guests have option to pick drinks from the common room (at an additional cost) and the fridge was very nicely stocked with anything you might want.

A Very Charming & Peaceful Melnik Stay

Manoleva House was a lovely day. We very much enjoyed their combinations and both the Owner and her son were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even bringing breakfast to our room each morning. They went out of our way to make sure our state was comfortable. Location was private, and the facilities clean. The location is charming as it’s higher up in town and very quiet. Highly recommend.

The main hotel was a little difficult for my mom to reach as she is older and so the owners offered us an apartment just down the street that was much easier for her to access.

Delightful stay in a traditional style but newer home with exceptional service

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manoleva House, traveling as 2 couples. The house was built fairly recently by the owners and is beautiful, and stylish. Marguerite and her family were delightful and provided exceptional service (she dropped us off at the monastery a couple miles away, providing history and other details and brought our car back so we could hike the trail back to town, called wineries to book our tastings, recommended lunch spot in nearby town).

It was very homely and in a great location overlooking the town. The owner is very hospitable and makes sure you feel comfortable. I loved the outdoor seating area especially in the evening where it was decorated with fairy lights.

Absolutely everything was great! Beautiful house, warm and welcoming host Margarita. The breakfasts are simply amazing, we weren't expecting such homemade tasty breakfasts. The room, the service - everything was beyond expectations. The most beautiful view on town from the balcony. Thank you so much for your attitude and the most delicious lamb for Easter dinner.

One of my favorite places in Bulgaria

Location - Perfect in my opinion. On the upper edge of Melnik and outside of the crowded areas. Getting there with a car is a bit awkward due to the narrow and unpaved roads, but thats true for the whole town. There is a nice path nearby so you can get to a panoramic view within 30 minutes or so. It's also right next to the famous Kordopoulos house, a must visit in Melnik. Room - Nicely renovated and very modern for this type of hotel. The bathroom in particular was very functional and clean. We had a great view towards the town, but it was pleasantly quiet and we slept with open windows. Staff - The reception was perfect. From the check-in to the breakfast service I can't think of a single fault. The same breakfast was also great by the way, try the Mekitski if they still make them!

Stairs - For us it wasn't a problem, but to get to the house you need to climb roughly three floors of elevation. Once inside there is no elevator either (Two extra floors). Just something to note for people with children or mobility issues.

Highly recommended

We liked everything about the property. The house is nicely located in the end of the village on a hill. It offers peace and fantastic views. The room was very clean and spacious. Margarita and her family were simply amazing hosts: nice, caring, attentive to details. They provided many good tips for visiting the area. Their breakfasts were excellent with many different options. The Easter diner prepared by the hosts was outstanding! We spent 4 nights, felt like at home. Thanks for stay! We will be back :)

Romantic, comfortable and pleasant in every way.

Manoleva house was a wonderful experience, from the kind hostess and her son to the wonderful breakfast, and the location. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. We stayed in the room with the balcony, and it had a stunning view over the wine valley. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. The hostess also gave us wonderful dinner recommendations. I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway.

Divine stay in an exquisite location

This place was exceptional - beautiful interior and so cozy. Our rooms were just beautiful. The view from our top floor was fantastic, and we just couldn't stop looking out the window. The breakfast was phenomenal. They gave us so much food, we didn't need to eat lunch. The staff is very kind and seems genuinely happy to have us staying. We visited on a very hot week and would love to be there in colder months to get to use the cute little lobby and sitting area indoors. The breakfast tables and patio were exquisite, nestled in the valley with an awesome view. This was our one of our favorite stays on our ten day Bulgaria road trip.

I honestly can't think of anything to critique - everything was just perfect. It was a grueling walk up to the place with the extreme heat but all of Melnik is hilly and it's part of the charm. The host even offered to have her son carry our bags.

Wonderful host

So grateful for my time at Manoleva House especially thanks to Margarita who made me feel very welcome. The view out of the terrace is magnificent where you can relax with an espresso watching the mountains while the birds sing in the background. Also the breakfast was so delicious. I would love to come back some day.

Great stay in Melnik. We'll return.

We are travelling almost every year in Melnik. This time was the best, thanks to Manoleva. Location is great. Clean, large room, air conditioning available, peaceful and a very, very good home made breakfast. Most of all, a huge thanks to the owner. She was very kind and give us very good tips for spending few hours in the area.

Old house refurbished with style, with a very good view of the quaint little village of Melnik. The host was friendly and the room itself was nice. We especially like the breakfast (the pancakes reminded me of my grandmother's)...

Great views, great food, lovely host!

Great views, great location only walking distance to the centre. The property is very well maintained, the food is delicious and our host Margarita was absolutely amazing, she is very kind to explain the local must see places and how to go around. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay. The rooms is perfectly clean, nicely furnished and our hosts were really nice. You can drink the tap water I honestly think one should stay longer than 3 days just to enjoy the calm and nice environment in Melnik

Amazing place to stay in Melnik

Amazing place to stay with a great view of the town. Margarita and her family were so welcoming and helpful (gave us information for the buses and sorted us a lift to Sandanski bus station). Breakfast was great and the room was immaculately clean. We loved our hike to Rozhen Monestary, visit to Melnik Winery (thanks Ilya for the lift back) and dinners at Mencheva Kashta Tavern.

This place was fabulous! There are only 5 rooms and ours was spotlessly clean with enough space and a wonderful view. The bed was the best we have slept on this trip. The owner and her family were very helpful and fluent English speakers. The breakfast was wonderful. There's a lot to see and do around Melnik and we wish we had booked for longer.

There's a bit of a steep walk to the hotel but it's not long.
