nice relaxing xmas break

good location, close to the village, The property had pretty much everything we needed. The fridge has a freezer section at the top, so good for our raw fed pupsters. Enough room in the lounge for two crates to house the spaniels as well. Plenty of hot water and good heating... dog friendly garden which is fully enclosed at the back. We ended up hosting xmas dinner in the end, so the house is equipped enough for that scale.

could have used one more saucepan to make cooking a little less dependant on washing up logistics, but that is nit picking a bit. Take slippers as the floors are tiled or laminate. No big deal, and expected in this sort of property as its easy to clean, especially with muddy paws, but was a little cold under foot at times.

Very good for a quiet stay near a very nice town (Somerton is lovely.)

Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Very quiet countryside location. Enjoyed the marmalade and the biscuits that were kindly left out by the host.

Despite the big grab handle, getting in and out of the bath is a bit of a challenge for people in their seventies because the sides of the bath are so high. Other than that, no issues.

A beautiful stay away from the stresses of life in an absolutely wonderful cosy cottage.

My husband and I and our little Westie Teddy had a really lovely stay at the cottage. It was so homely and had everything we needed for an exceptional stay. The bed was really comfy and the cottage was spotlessly clean and smelt absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely return again. It was a lovely chilled out time for us.

Perfect stay

Beautiful little cottage with everything you need inside. Perfect location for everything we wanted to do and it was just so quiet and relaxing. We loved the little "corner shop" what a wonderful idea.

Perfect little cottage in Somerset .

The location is ideal for visiting nearby National trust properties and the coast is not far away . Miriam is a very thoughtful host who is always on hand if there is a problem but she is never intrusive . There is a small welcome pack of biscuits and local jams and little vases of garden flowers throughout the cottage , her art work adds a personal unique charm and small pieces of her work are available to buy . The bathroom toiletries that Miriam provides smell beautiful .We have stayed in the cottage several times and love how peaceful it is along with all the comforts of home making it a lovely chilled holiday .

Lovely cottage and location

A very friendly welcome from the owner. The cottage is lovely, very comfortable, well furnished and well-equipped with its own little sunny garden. Somerton is an interesting old town within easy driving distance of the Hauser and Worth gallery at Bruton and quite a number of National Trust properties. An excellent choice to visit this lovely part of the world.

The perfect place for a weekend away visiting National Trust properties

Cottage was small and cosy. Kitchen was adequate for reheating pre-prepared meals. Somerton was a 20 minute walk along quiet country lanes. Easy access to a number of National Trust properties.

The only issue I had was although the garden was suitable for my dog overall he did manage to find some small pieces of sharp plastic on the ground to eat . He is a scavenger though and a lot of dogs would have had the sense to leave them .

Cosy home away from home.

We were travelling with our 6 month old baby, so were looking for somewhere with enough space, separate bedroom to living area, a bath and a kitchen. This property delivered on all points - and had the added bonus of its own private enclosed garden, off-road parking and a lovely, helpful host. It felt like a home away from home and a helpful book put together by the host containing anything you would need to know about the local area was also available.

The stay was a little on the pricey side, but that might be normal for the area (and might also be my statutory maternity pay stinging!) There was nothing to dislike about the property itself.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Somerset.

The location of Rosehip Cottage is perfect for our requirements very tranquil and is a perfect place to relax ,it is situated at the end of a leafy lane away from the hustle and bustle so is ideal for dog walking and is central for most places of interest . We have stayed in the cottage 3 times and have more than enjoyed our holiday each time, There is a small private garden for guest use and also a patio area to relax if the weather is good . . Miriam is the perfect host vey welcoming ,not at all intrusive but is around should you have any problems. The cottage is well equipped , clean and comfortable with everything you would need for a stay away from home . We look forward to our next visit.

Super couple of days. The pictures do not do the cottage justice, much more space than we thought there was going to be. The cottage is fully equipped with all the required amenities. We would definitely recommend👍🏻

We had everything that we needed for our short break. Be honest, you don't need to take anything with you, everything is already there. Just like small cute home away, but quite and cosy, just birds early in the morning. Spotless clean. You can see host touch in everything. Thank you. We had great rest there, just what we needed ❤️

Fabulous cottage and area

Beautiful cottage, very clean and lovely decor. It has everything you would need. Lovely, comfy bedding and loved the stain glass personal touches. Very welcoming host. Good price and great to allow dogs. We had a really lovely time in a great location.

One thing, which is only a thing for us as a couple, so not even a fault of the cottage, but the bed was too small for us to sleep comfortably due to no room to move. It was a double but just too small for us. We loved everything else!!!

Glorious little place

Glorious little place. Host was present with a friendly welcome for us. Full of lovely little touches. All items needed for a comfortable stay are present, full kitchen with everything you need, full size bath, quiet little garden with seating area and space for the car. Little book on arrival of useful information is really helpful for those new to the area. Horses in nearby fields were a treat for us city folk. Stayed with 2 teens and a dog. All were happy.

Lovely stay in a beautiful part of Somerset.

Beautiful peaceful location that is not far from other pretty places to visit . The property is equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable, there is a secure back garden which is great if staying with dogs .Miriam is on hand if there are any problems but is not in any way intrusive and leaves you to enjoy your stay in peace ,she also leaves welcome biscuits and jams along with little vases of garden flowers which is a lovely gesture . We have stayed twice in the property and wont hesitate to visit again .

Superb

Rosehip Cottage is on a country lane so it is very quiet and peaceful but still only a 15mins walk from Somerton. Lovely countryside views and the chirping of birds. Cottage is a good size for 2 and well stocked out. There is also a selection of marmalades, jewellery etc made by Miriam and local artists to buy - which I did! Miriam is a lovely friendly host who is always available if any issues or questions.

Floor tiles were a tad cold on the feet even with socks on - but a pair of slippers soon fixed that!
