The location was quiet; on an estate with lots of flats, but surprisingly peaceful. There was an allocated car parking space, which was convenient. The beach was a short walk away (although slightly steep so wouldn't suit severe mobility disabilities).
Apartment wasn't clearly marked (there are actually 3 in the same building) so we went to a neighbouring property by mistake first. There was lots of fly tipped rubbish in front of the apartment, directly in front of the living room window, so not very appealing on first impressions (this was collected very noisily early in the morning three days after our arrival). The apartment smelled strongly of cigarettes and stale perfume, especially the bedding material, and was not very clean (rubbish under the beds, clumps of hair on beds, lots of dog hair everywhere, oven coated in grease and very unclean). The hot water was on a timed system and no way to override so we never knew when the taps would actually provide hot water (extremely difficult with a toddler). The shower was an old electric power shower, which did not provide much pressure at all and made it hard to wash properly. The beds were too soft for our liking, not very comfortable, although the living room sofa was good. We ended up leaving a day early.
