Half term family getaway

The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans & slow cooker. Double beds in 3 bedrooms made it very suitable for a stay with extended family. The house was very homely.

Lovely house in beautiful location

Good value for money.

House is a short walk to the centre of Somerstown. It is clean and well equipped. Although I didn’t meet the host, communication was easy. This is a good value functional place to stay.

Number five got the balance between feeling homely and knowing you were on a break. Beautiful home, good parking, fantastic host. All the amenities you'd want from a home, comfortable beds and a good nights sleep.

A nice place to stay with family

The house was nice (maybe in need of a little refurb in places) but it was big enough for a family of 5. We all slept well and only really used it for a base for the evenings. It had everything you needed and the host (despite living in the annexe in the garden) was very respectful of our privacy. Nice touches like tea towels, washing up liquid etc that you may sometimes forget to take away and a big selection of books and some family games and a nice big garden with furniture to sit out on but we didn’t really have time to use any of these.

My husband wasn’t keen on the owner being in the annexe in the garden as he felt he couldn’t relax but she was very respectful of our privacy and we only saw her pop along the garden once for a parcel delivery. A few little things like mould on the bathroom ceiling, couldn’t get the tv to work in the bedroom but we weren’t bothered as we didn’t really spend long in the property. The house across the road had a party on the first night of our stay which did keep us awake but it was bank holiday and didn’t go past midnight so couldn’t complain too much.

A lovely comfortable house.

The facilities were excellent. No 5 was a in an excellent location and a very comfortable house with everything we needed. I could not fault it in any way, it was a lovely house to return to after a day exploring. It was a small family holiday to visit relatives in Somerton, we all agreed it was superb.

Warm, clean and cozy, great place to stay

The lounge was plenty big enough for all 6 of us and we loved that the hosts left us some board games in the house for rainy days in, there was a lovely cider farm approx 1 hour walk from the house too. All three double beds were comfy and soft and the rooms were all clean and Kempt

relaxing and comfortable

comfy clean beds. having little bits like washing up liquid and kitchen roll etc was really handy as we were only there for a few days so didn’t need to take everything. so much was provided to make life easier. Netflix was a nice extra. lovely host.

Dining room let it down a bit and I feel it would of been a problem for us if they’d been more of us as we like to eat in for one meal a day so we can relax. Tv was so poor in the bedroom I’d have preferred it not being there.

Perfect for my needs

Location was great for me, near to where I was working . Comfortable and clean , pretty peaceful garden . Comfy bed and excellent bathrooms, great kitchen. Becky the host extremely helpful and kind.

The property was a great size and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The beds were comfortable and even accommodated my very tall husband with a bed with no end . The property was very clean . It was close to all amenities and perfect for our trip to longleat .

No 5 was clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Would stay again. Host was very helpful and available when we needed even popped round to make sure we had everything we needed.

Really clean, well equipped and great proximity to so many places. Nothing was too much trouble for Becky who happily accommodated our unexpected guest.

Mattresses a little too soft, but that may be my preference.

Clean, well appointed house. Facilities excellent, especially kitchen, appliances, TV, shower, garden seating. Owner friendly and helpful. Comfortable base for exploring the area.

Could have done with a longer bed without a wooden 'end' as I'm 6'3"

The issues above were minor. Becky provided a welcoming, relaxing and comfortable stay.

Location worked well for seeing family. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. Appliances were of good quality and worked.

On a purely personal level, the steps to the front door of which there were several, had no handrail. The internal stairs were quite steep with only one hand rail, and there were two small raised steps into kitchen and bathroom which caught some of us out a couple of times. One of the doors into the upstairs shower had come off its rail and one of the dishwasher runners wasn't working properly.

Everything happens for a reason xxx

Becky was so welcoming and friendly. We had complete privacy but she was always available if needed. Both my daughter and I felt settled and at ease at Number 5 for the duration of our stay whilst my new house purchase went through. Becky was so accommodating especially with our little Poochon dog! Have definitely made a new friendship there :) Her neighbours were really lovely and welcoming too! I would definitely stay again and miss not being there as it really became our temporary home xx
