Had the most amazing 4 days away. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for some peace in nature!

Lovely secluded location. There is two huts on the site and you cannot see one from the other. They are set in a huge woodland area that you can wander around. Very dog friendly. Kitchen was super well equiped. Sadie and Austin were very responsive hosts. We were able to check ourselves in when we arrived, so no awkward waiting around for someone to check you in after a long drive, and Austin had lit the fire in the hut so it was warm and cosy on arrival! The hut itself was very rustic and cute - loved it!

The beds weren't the comfiest I've experienced, but were still ok.

Beautiful place to relax

Beautiful location , and excellent place to relax and get away from day to day life. Very well-equipped and comfortable. We have stayed several times and it has been a wonderful break every time.

Great relaxing break in a beautiful location

Lovely place and beautiful surroundings, loved the cabin really well equipped and lovely to relax in . Kids enjoyed it and especially loved toasting marshmallows on the bbq/ fire pit at night. Saw a badger and rabbits and the grounds are so lovely.

Lovely owner gave directions by phone to the cabin. Nice bathroom.

The beds were extremely hard. The building creaked at night,I have lived in old houses before and this was nothing like the noises of a house settling at night but like a car crash level. The security lights keep going off at night, we think the animals were being caught on the motion sensitive sensor, which isn’t too much of a problem but due to the blinds not blackout the room kept being lit up. Lovely cabin, but these resulted in a very poor sleep that ruined the experience.

Heavenly peace and quiet and freedom!!

The Cabin was absolutely wonderful, so comfortable and quiet and private with acres of woodlands to roam in with our two dogs without ever seeing another soul!! It is set in the middle of the most extraordinarily beautiful scenery and was the perfect place to unwind over a long weekend! Austin and Sadie were incredibly welcoming and helpful when we arrived and then left us totally in peace which was perfect!! We would definitely love to stay again one day, thank you so much for everything, we are so pleased we 'discovered' you!!

The perfect place to get away from it all.

Amazing location, fabulous cabin, right in the heart of the woods. We loved walking by the stream, using the fire pit and switching off from it all.

Fabulous, and we hope to come back.

Idyllic location and well away from the other cabins. It was lovely to arrive to a beautifully warm cabin, as the owners had lit the woodburner for us-a very nice touch. And my other half loved the Welsh cakes left out for us. The cabin is solidly built and the beds are comfortable, and it was a great "adventure" for our kids for us all to sleep in the same room, including the dog! The owner also picked up the phone when I called on arrival, unable to find the saucepans. Thank you.

Just a couple of minor maintenance issues: Could I recommend that they mend the fridge door/replace the under counter fridge, as we were unable to stand our milk up, due to the broken (missing) door holder, and modern milk plastic bottles are so poorly made, that they tend to always leak, so we were mopping up spilt milk each time we went to the fridge. The walk in shower leaks water into the rest of the shower area, as the slope of the floor (the fall) is not sufficient to take the water down the drain.

Peaceful stay in a lovely location.

It is a beautiful property in a lovely quiet location and we will definitely visit again. The children really enjoyed the magnetic dart board and games. The owner was friendly and welcoming and available if needed.

Wonderful relaxing retreat

Everything was perfect. I felt that all the details had be thought of in mind for your stay to be comfortable and as a family staying here I felt that it was considered in perfect detail. Immediately felt welcomed and homely. all of your home comforts are here and nothing is too much trouble . The retreat surroundings were lovely . I went for a run each morning and each time I found a new experience truly magical - foxes, deer, birds, mushrooms, oak trees, stream that was clear and fresh , tons of nature. Quiet and clean air .

Wonderful woodland retreat for all the family.

This place is brilliant. The lodge is so private with wonderful woodland views. The quality of everything is top notch and it is very thoughtfully kitted out for a self catering stay. The woodland surrounding is amazing, so many lovely places to explore and we were in perfect blackberry season too! Overall a fantastic place to stay. 10/10

Gorgeous log cabin in fantastic scenery

This is a stunning place to stay, with nature all around you. We came to Hereford for Hay Festival but would return just to stay here. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. The place itself is so so special - a proper log cabin which feels in the middle of nowhere but it’s only a few miles to the shop and ten mins will get you into Hay by car. Cabin is beautifully done and so comfortable. Location is amazing for getting away from it all.

Peace and quiet in a beautiful lodge set in gorgeous countryside

Fantastic, cosy lodge that was perfect for me, my sister and her dog. Lots of brilliant walks nearby and lovely towns to visit a few minutes drive away. Quiet, relaxing and away from people. Perfect holiday!

Absolutely no negatives but maybe two little gates to close off the decking area would have been good. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends

An absolutely amazing place to stay. Such a tranquil setting with the most beautiful scenery and land. We loved every minute of our stay and it suited our young family really well. The lodge has everything you need and is really well thought out. We'll definitely be returning! Lovely hosts too.

Amazing cabin, luxurious, peaceful, tranquil, quiet, hosts were really helpful, surroundings were SOOOOO quiet, in a secluded woodland with river side walks, 56 acres of woodland and we didn't see another person apart from those tending to the land. Can't wait to go back already

Hard to tell

House is really nice, and even in winter is comfort warm with fireplace.

I had car accident in the night, there is no ''road'' for car , when we bring car in ,we have to reverse out which is really not convenient in the midnight with 0 lights around paths, the paths is really narrow and muddy, and there are hidden tree trunk in the grass, the reserve indicator cant detect which cause hazard, I was struggling every time in and out, cause we have many luggage, so we can't really leave the car just outside the main door. Car repair is much more expensive than the cost of commendation for 3 night.

Perfect short break in log cabin in woodland

Stunning location. stunning log cabin but with very modern bathroom. Friendly host. Beautiful woodland location. We are a family of 5:- grandparents, daughter and two teenage grandchildren. Perfect accommodation for us for a short break. We drove half an hour on one day to climb the Brecon Beacons
