The location
The lodge is quite tired. Worn out things. Not clean.

It was lovely

Beautiful surroundings.
When we got to the lodge outside it looked so lovely but soon as we got in and looked around it wasn’t as it was advertised! It wasn’t clean .

It’s in a fantastic location, offering privacy and a stunning view of the river. The outdoor space with a table and 4 comfy chairs is perfect for relaxation, and we loved the amazing barbecue setup!
One thing to note: we were a bit surprised to find that one of the rooms has a bunk bed, which wasn’t mentioned in the description. It would be great for families with young kids (up to 12 years), but if you’re planning a trip with two couples, it may come as a surprise.
Other than that, everything was comfortable and clean!
Best,
Olga

The view was beautiful.
Upon arrival the smell of damp and mould was present. It became clear why. The bathroom and single bedroom were full of black mould. Our son could not put his clothes in the bedroom cupboard as it had black mould inside. The master bedroom smelt the worst. You could smell and feel the damp on you. The windows have blown and were wet inside. The bedroom blinds were stained and again had black mould on them. The cooker is inadequate and the oven takes hours to cook anything. The fridge made a noise like a siren, which drove us mad through the night. It was not keeping the food cool unless turned up to number 5. The location is beautiful, however that does not compensate for the inhabitable accommodation. The property needs bringing up to standard and some money spent on it, to restore it to what could be a nice holiday home.

Very quiet, beautifully located on the river. Quiet site and friendly people.
Was slightly worried about reversing the car to get back up the hill!

Loved the location, directly in front of river, probably the best location in the park. The cottage have a nice cozy environment. My daughter loved the bunk bed. The owner was kind enough to extend my check out time as my car had issues. The location is good to explore areas near elan valley.
The balcony of the cottage could be cleaned better.

Nice site, quiet and well spaced.
Had everything we needed in accomodation. Very prompt responses from host.
Not far to walk into Builth, but shame new owners no longer let you go across wobbly bridge to hotel.
Only thing i could say, was the little single bed could do with a topper as I could feel the springs, but it didn't stop me sleeping.

Lovely spot overlooking river and quiet
Had problems with shower, some maintenance issues need to be addressed

Excellent location - best in the holiday park we thought. Lovely views, lots of space, very comfortable beds, spotless and very well stocked kitchen. We didn’t use bbq due to rain - next time!
There is a lovely pebble ‘beach’ a 5 minute walk through the park - great for skimming stones and could swim in the summer. Shame bridge not accessible for pooh sticks.
Builth Wells is a pretty little town too.
We definitely would love to return. Thank you!
Nothing of note!

The location was perfect. Set on the edge of Builth Wells, in stunning and well kept grounds. The lodge was well positions by the river, with no through traffic.
As others have said, it lacks a little TLC in places, however, it has everything you need for a good stay and is very well equipped . The secure decking area was perfect for my dogs too !
Nothing really - if I’m being picky, I think would have liked some more cleaning items, like a bucket and mop to clean the floor, as it had been raining this morning and walking back and forth to the car, left a few footprints on the flooring. I would have liked to have cleaned the floor before I left. Apart from that, I think it had everything.

The best location, so beautiful to sit and watch the birds on the river. Perfect!!!
It was all good.

Peaceful location that was a corner plan overlooking the river and only a short walk into the town. .
That it is advertised as a twin bed but it is actually a bunk bed in the one room. Needs some maintenance doing. For example The shower head needs attention as it didn't stay in place and there is a broken decking board on the terrace of the lodge..

Its location and has everything we needed for a weekend break. The hosts were good at communication
I’m not sure when it was last cleaned. There were black mould spots across ceilings, con webs, dirty tissues in one bed. The outside furniture had clearly been left out over winter so was somewhat green and the the exterior needed repainting and windows cleaning

minor issues, of chilly, as a couple of heaters couldn’t get working, and oven not very clean, but this was such a beautiful location, we would definitely recommend as a lovely lodge to visit again

The unkept state of the property Outside covered in cobwebs and outdoor furniture covered in mould, hole in decking and gate broken. Inside all furnishings worn and aged. Table filthy. Settee discoloured and cracked springs gone unusable. Kitchen appliances yellow with age chipped and marked. Cups stained with use baking trays rusted. Bathroom mirror pitted and old shower door broken mildew on all seals. Beds uncomfortable with old scratchy bedding. All window covering stained mismatched and blind in main bedroom broken. This property should never be rented out in this state

On the positive side it's quiet and peaceful at night. Loads of rabbits which is amusing to kids and so much space outside for kids to play around.
The instruction books in the chalet don't give clear information, we have a hard time opening the cooker, gas fireplace, telly, Wii(we can't open), under my single room(very small) bed got loads of rubbish, the lamp cord is way too short, as I need to move the bedside cabinet closer to the socket. No washing machine, some of the wood in the decking is rotten and falling apart. The outside light at the back is not working Overall this is just an upgraded version of the caravan. The hanging bridge is close but it is mentioned to the ads.

Accommodation in a poor state of repair. Inaccurate information in the welcome file, which was not up to date. Squashed flies on walls, tv not working and shower not hot.

location, communication was good with the landlord
some serios investment is required, starting with the access from the driveway, heating, although we had electrical heaters, objects very used and dirty(couch&pillows), bathroom needs a lot of attention, the shower doors not closing, the deck is full of moss and very very slippery, found a dirty towel underneath bed, socks from previous occupancy, dust and dirty everywhere, animal hair found on bed sheets, food leftover found on the living room table when we came. Really basic things like cleanness must be solved.

Location Excellent
Driveway a bit narrow for my van - however a very helpful neighbour assisted me when I arrived. I should have arrived over 2 hours earlier, however due to part of the motorway being shut I was diverted and I lost 2 hours 5 minutes of my life I will never get back. I get the impression the chap who assisted me lives at the site year round. Please pass on my thanks to him.

The cabin was in the perfect spot on the river. Lots of beautiful wildlife around. Rabbits hopping around outside, beautiful wild birds, sheep across the river coming for a drink. Plenty of space for the children to run around. Cosy cabin with comfy sofa and beds. As a family of five we felt there was plenty of room.
Loved everything. The only other thing we could have wished for was better weather to enjoy sitting out on the balcony more but still had an amazing time.
