It was absolutely amazing. I definitely will be coming back.
As soon as we walked in and started to unpack we knew we wanted to stay another night and they were super accommodating as to letting us stay with a good price. This area is gorgeous and while it rained most of our trip we soaked up the sound of the rushing river and the rain coming down on the roof. This trip was for my 25th birthday and was close but not too close to Hay-on-wye which is a great day trip!
Sadly you can’t walk across the bridge to see more of the river or see much of the lake since it is gated off for fishing. But that is no fault of theirs for the home itself it was quite perfect and was a fantastic getaway.

Stunning
The cleanliness was evident. Even the beams were perfectly clean and cobweb free, clearly great pride is taken in the cabin. The attention to detail with autumn themed decor was a very nice touch, shows the owners clearly care about the place and their guest experience. The owners were polite and responsive. Plenty of information provided about the surrounding area. Good amount of adequate heaters, the cabin warmed up quickly and efficiently, once warm we didn't need to keep them on long term. Lovely spacious layout, great dual lighting options in the rooms, strong WiFi.
The larger bed base (perhaps twins turned and put together?) separated a little with movement in the night, maybe there's a little gadget available to help stop that. The back door was near impossible to lock and unlock and the instructions were none too clear. Maybe the info was buried deep in the folder but we had trouble finding the site bins upon leaving. These are very minor niggles though, not even worthy of losing a star. By far one of the best places we've stayed.

Stylish decor and very well equipped. Lovely location next to the river. A very nice lodge that looked like it was one of the best ones on the site
We liked the rug in the lounge area but it would be a good idea to have a rug gripper underneath it to stop it slipping about - a very minor point though
